I give Copet some shit for initiating as Annie, but Brand is also one of those players that can do so much ludicrous damage that a good initiation can take 3/5 or 4/5 of the enemy players into sub 50% health territory.

Fuck your teammates. Press TAB and click on the icon all the way to the right to ignore them.

re: camera

Harkonis is right. Unlocking the camera is absolutely essential to playing this game. It’s absolutely essential to have it be awkward and cause you to fuck up for a game or two as you get used to it.

But once you do get used to it, and it happens faster than you think, then your playing experience will be dramatically better.

Yes - suck up the pain and get used to unlocked. It will hurt for more than a few games but it is the only way to be effective. Once you get it, it is easy.

And like it has been said already, it’s very easy to hold down spacebar and still play if you find yourself lost at any point.

Unless you’re lost in a team fight and your colourful cursor is lost in the colourful explosions, then you’re fucked.

But that’s going to happen regardless of being locked or unlocked.

Managed to get a few games of Dominion today. I really like this mode. It has an entirely different feel. First couple of games, I didn’t have the foggiest clue what I was supposed to be doing and did terribly, but after that I think I managed to do okay. Summoner’s Rift will always be the meat of the game, but I suspect that Dominion will be fairly popular and it’s encouraging to see Riot expanding the gameplay of the genre.

I like that in Dominions I can trythings and it is relativel low risk “can I take that guy? Fuck it, let’s find out!” happens far more often than in SR where I could lose the game on a gamble. I think it is going to be an awesome way to learn and experiment with new characters.

I enjoyed Dominions because the stakes felt lower. Yeah, I died, who cares? I’m not sure if that’s because it’s new and no one knew what they were doing, or because it’s shorter.

Deaths also aren’t displayed on the scoreboard so it’s harder to follow.

Has that changed? The usual split was shown when I played it on EUW last week, but only on the TAB and final score screens, not on the main UI.

So Jax is officially fun. At lvl 18 I killed an Ashe and chased off a Lux who were trying to drop our inhib, all on my loneseome! Pity the rest of the team was completely and utterly awful (a TF who went 2/12 and never used his ult is one example) and my ping moved between 200 and 1000ms :/ …still, he is a good laugh.

Although the guides on Solomid are completely messed up. The author of two of them states that one of his guides is a troll guide, in another he says more odd things, and the third approved guide doesn’t even include dodge mastery. Never mind, I don’t think he’s tooooo rocket science to build.

My god, what is up with solo queue? Had two games in a row with some really terrible players on my team, and, unfortunately, some quite good ones on their team. Players are doing really dumb things I don’t expect of lvl30s… weird! Jax is still fun though, but vs Ashe and Riven with a bit of a fail Temo next to me… not so grand. Hmm.

Well, I tried a match with the camera unlocked last night. We won. It was okay. Camera issues pretty much led directly to three deaths over the course of the match, but it wasn’t a disaster.

Did they buff Kayle recently?

Use featured guides, not approved ones.

In the last 60 days, yes.

McKnight, in an earlier comment you said Katarina was a counter pick.

My daughter has started playing a bit of Kat, so who do you see Kat as a counter to?

Would like to give her some advice. As most of the characters I play have a stun - Ali, Heimer, Cho, Blitz, I tend to view Kat as fodder to save a stun for.

Kat’s a counter pick to a team with no stuns or silences, is my guess.

Is there a chart somewhere that shows champions and whether they do primarily physical or magic damage? I want to get better at gearing in response to the enemy team.

That info is given to you by your own abilities. Any ability that does damage says whether it’s physical or magical.
