So that I can just chill out, last hit with my Q, and then kill peoples’ faces off. I don’t like laning with Heimer unless I have a high-damage ability to get last hits with as we push, which Veigar’s Q counts as.

(I went 5-4 with 4 of those kills being their Caitlyn and had a RoA/tear/boots at 20 minutes, I was pulling my weight.)

Atleast build him the proper way, DFG/Deathcap/Void staff to be the perfect glass cannon.

I stopped using Veigar until the remake, he cant harass anything until he is like level 9 and any good Mid knows your Q alone does very little damage and you need it to farm so he will constantly harass you at low level and make your life impossible behind that little mid turret.

shrug I wasn’t mid, and I don’t agree that one should always build Veigar that way. I was building him to chill and play safe until could land a kill (though I was perfectly willing to die for kills, especially if it means my team mops up the rest of the enemies). Veigar is a ridiculously amazing champ very-late game, which happens not unrarely at my ELO.

An early Tear provides not only a much faster maxed-out AA for massive AP burstage, but also provides the mana regen needed to last hit constantly with Q while still stunning when the enemy goes for a kill.

I probably should have made a Kage’s after the Tear + base boots, though.

I’ve been in 50+ minute games as Veigar, and it’s amazing what he can do with a fully stacked item set, something like AA / Boots / RoA / Deathcap / Void Staff / DFG.

He’s fine; it’s not like anyone laning with a hard-pushing Heimer in bot lane is going to be doing much. And Veigar can last hit very easily with his Q, which is why I picked him.
