That’s really more because you’re stuck with people who won’t surrender. (Remember my saying awhile ago that it seemed stupid that you can’t go AFK when you’re way behind and your team won’t surrender? I still think it’s stupid.)

Maybe in addition to the Nexus destruction victory, maybe the game should borrow the “mercy” rule from kid’s sports, where if your team ever gets so many deaths/kills behind, you lose.

If you’re that far ahead, it should be trivially easy to push for the win. If you can’t push, you don’t deserve an easy win.

Because i have managed to turn around games where we were 30 kills behind?

Do you trust any one of the other players to determine when the game is hopeless and, all on his own, end it? That’s why it’s not okay to go afk. I don’t trust your judgment. Or yours. Or yours. Or yours.

Or, sure, my own. I’ve been wrong enough about this fucking game being over that if my team doesn’t want to end it, well, I’ll give it a shot. Maybe they’re right.

Dominion is starting to wear thin. I don’t feel like I can do anything useful with almost all of the champs available. It might even be a nail in the coffin for LoL in general for me, as I can’t even see myself going back to playing on Rift. Dominion is closer to the game I’ve always wanted to play in a DotA-like, but with Rift determining champion balance it’s not going to last with the same champs every single game (Akali, Jax, Xin, Wukong, Heimer, Yi)

omg, Nocturne, we don’t need Smite in Dominion, broski.

Actually, I care less about that then I do the numerous times I’ve been stuck on a losing team where the opposing team decides to toy with us and fuck around for another 20 minutes.

We have no hope of winning, but I get to watch people go “duel” each other, or watch the other team intentionally not destroy the nexus so they can wrack up more kills.

Yeah, that’s a real blast. I’m sure you’ve all come back from 16-50 countless times.

Personally I’d rather get into a new game than bang my hard against the wall for a 0.4% chance of victory.even if we win, I won’t enjoy it.

That’s assuming there isn’t a good reason to anticipate a comeback, like having a far superior lategame team at the expense of the early game.

I find most players are poor judges of that sort of thing.

smite is pretty funny when the other team took Heimer. true story ;)

So you take a skill with more than a minute cooldown and short range to take out 1 tower that is going to be up again in 20 seconds?

They need to let us ignore people in the character draft screen. until such a thing exists, I’ll be forced to drop every time the pubbie in our 4-person premade opens his mouth.

I didn’t say it was a good choice, or to pick it, or that it was effective, or that it was recommended. way to read into it :P

I said it was funny, and it is. It’s like when Annie pops a Tibbers on you and you nuke it with smite and one ability instantly. It’s funny.

Today I was like “It’s not about the champs you pick, it’s about how you play” and some pubbie was like “stfu u think if they pick 5 akali we would win?” and I’m like “… yes. Yes, we would.”

No… no you probably wouldn’t. It’d be god damn hilarious either way.

Galio x5? :) But it would be hilarious. I’d say that a team of 5x Heimerdinger could annihilate anything; all of them pop their ults and their Micromissiles just obliterate their enemies, plus they build Sweepers (which has everything good; HP, CDR, AP, and vision) and giggle.

Dudes, you’re right! I tried to surrender in this game 20 minutes in, but it was rejected. We totally came back and won it!

No, wait, unsurprisingly, we didn’t. Instead, it drug out for another 10 minutes, while players on our team kept insisting, “We could still do it.”

We came back from a horrible deficit, something like 149-17. Came back and won in an unbelievable nailbiter, 3-0, where the outcome was in doubt down to the last few seconds.

In the interest of SCIENCE! I started playing Eve in Dominion to see how it works. And…she does work. I even managed to get first place with her a couple of times. Last game I went 11/6/15. First time I actually had more kills then deaths. You need a VERY specific order of building items though.

Rumble - not so grand in Dominions. Can’t put out out fast DPS, can’t survive if you try to do that. Hmmm.

Been thinking about Dom builds. Had a Maokai who built tank, and the problem is that he was the only one. End result? He did no damage and was ignored until others were dead. Though his AOE was fairly annoying. It seems you might as well all go glass canon or all pick up a bit of tank, but nothing in between.
