MX we miss you :(

Tell me about it. I would have bought a fucking new one if I’d known how bad these people are at doing what they’re paid to do. Actually, tomorrow I’m going to see if I can get them to abort the process and give me my money back so I can do just that.

I did your mom.

Is there a good reason not to go Improved Ignite (Burning Embers) on Jax?

You’re trying to decide whether to get that or reduced summoner spell time? Because then, it’s not worth it.

Otherwise… no, of course not. +10 AP from a champ that benefits from AP? Yes please! Unfortunately, it’s probably not worth giving up the spell penetration.

Oh wait, you’re talking about Jax, so you’re probably gonna have 21/0/9. Pfft, of course you get improved ignite.

Most Jax I know go 9/21/0, or at the very least 21/9/0.

21/9/0 is what I’ve been spec’ing on Jax for Masteries.

Then you could grab it instead of the one point in ArmPen.

Had a great game with Cheq and a newby mate where I was Xerath and did ok (I believe). Faced another Xerath who I was close to nabbing a few times but fell to the ultra-mobile other team. They eventually beat us in a close and fun game, but man, constant roaming was frustrating as hell. Our Irelia top couldn’t hold them back and one or both of top was either trying to gank me or roaming to mess with Cheq’s jungle. It was a strategy that worked well.

Xerath was pretty fun. I didn’t dominate, but did fine and Xerath is great in a team fight. Quite easy to hide out of the way and just drop AOE on folks. Anyone who gets too close gets some stun in the face.

Dear Support Plank: no. Just no.

how does supportplank, well, support?

He actually does rather well, at least in theory. He has a slow, an AoE speed up (which is ridiculous) and an AoE slow in his Ult. Support plank is basically just as strong as a solo/jungle plank early game and only falls off in usefulness late game when the lack of items starts to show through. I still think that it’s a better choice to jungle him though, given how strong he is at that role.

Support plank basically came about because people decided GP was so strong that they wanted him on the team regardless of where they had to put him, not because support GP was absolutely amazing or anything.

Speaking of Gangplank, I’m starting to be a little pissed off about his ult.

Last night I was solo top as Garen against a GP. I out last hit him, and zoned him off so I had at least a level on him experience wise at one point. And yet 20 minutes in he was 3/0/3 and I was 0/1/0, because he could ult my teammates on the other side of the map and there wasn’t shit I could do about it.

Thanks jungle Rammus for dieing and giving GP red buff! Thanks Karthus for giving up blue buff!

And only now you realize that?

The thing about Gangplank’s ult is that even with it being shrunk down and normalized, it is still pretty random. I’ve dropped it on people running away with a sliver of health and had them run out of it without getting hit plenty of times. I’ve also dropped it more or less randomly on fights and somehow gotten multiple kills. It’s not as bad as it used to be, but you still can never tell if it’s going to do anything.

Support GP just sounds idiotic. Without items he is actually really squishy and to stack his slow on someone he has to run up and start punching them, which is basically giving someone a free kill.

I think with supportplank you just accept that you’re not going to get much in the way of poison stacking; you focus on keeping your shout up, on shooting people with your Q, and on dropping a good ult.

Which seems strictly inferior to, I dunno, any other support?

Yeah support GP seems retarded unless you’re at the level of play where it doens’t really matter what support you have, just how good of a player they are.

Is GP’s ult really that much worse than Karth’s in the “get a random kill across the board” sort of way?

Karth doesn’t get random kill, Karth’s ult always do certain amount of damage unless it get block by spellshield.

Karth Killsteals.

My point is that both are essentially, “I had nothing to do with chipping you down, but now that you are, I can kill you even if I’m nowhere near you,” death devices.

Karth’s is arguably worse, since at least GP’s take some level of skill to properly place in a specific area (as opposed to just reading “Karth Ult!” in chat and pressing R).
