you didn’t outfarm anyone, you just had more assist and on a winning team. it’s really easy to get more gold as an assist when you are on a winning team compare to the losing team.

Speaking of those stats, what I want to know is where did the Kog and Cass fan club come from?

I also love that for both this and the last big tournament with stats Caitlyn was one of the top 10 picked/banned, but has like the worst win/loss records in both. (In the last one I remember she was banned a few times and went 0-4 for her appearances.)

Just had to play Alistar solo top in a ranked game vs Jax and monkey guy. Managed to not die and enabled a jungler gank, so all round did fine and we won the game. Thing is, I was chronically short of mana early game and I used pretty much only my Q to farm at the tower and a bit of E now and then. Obviously Rod of Ages in due course, but what to start with? To keep your farm up and to keep safe you need a good pool of mana throughout the laning phase and until the catalyst that seems tricky. Start with a Doran’s ring? Or blue crystal and two pots? Or? In that case I took cloth and 5 health pots, which I realized was overkill as soon as I bought 'em.

A full flat AP page is about the only time I’d ever recommend using them, but obviously I’m not going to mention an extremely specialized and weird page when recommending someone on what runes to buy.

Philostone became a far better choice of item when they actually gave it a build path, although it was really the ridiculous original HoG that had people finally realizing how good Gp5 was.

Zilean is some kind of FotM for NA tournament teams. I guess because he provides the utility of a support along with some of the burst of an AP carry? The Ryze bans were all targeted at one player I think who happens to be REALLY good with Ryze.

The Kog fan club came from EU. They ran him a bunch at IEM China and after that the NA teams jumped on it. For tournament teams he seems like a good pick, stupid damage, stupid range and team comps that will protect him.

Cass got more popular after she got her range buffs.
