that’s because you haven’t play with bot soraka that builds tanky.

I don’t think he was there for that game where she was positively ridiculous and unkillable at the end.

Max is describing the only funny situations in Rain Man’s stream, which is when he’s almost dying or almost killing someone.

Yeah, dude’s manic. Mania is entertaining. He’s also nothing like Bunny seems to think he is. He’s an asshole, and a vocal asshole–at least in text (“THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DID WRONG THAT FIGHT AND THEN DON’T REPEAT IT”), but not that sort of asshole.
Man, ranked is weird. Two games in a row - totally different. In the first I was Irelia top vs a very capable brand. Once he got his catalyst I couldn’t really do much about the guy. Our jungle Lee Sin would try and engage him when I was half way across the screen pushing back some creeps and by the time I got there Lee Sin would be dead and I’d have to be careful no to get dead myself. Very annoying. The rest of the team failed equally hard.
Second game, I was Irelia top with Kog (we had no jungler) against a Xerath (!?). Xerath is utterly, utterly useless in that situation and we just pushed him around all game. The other lanes also did well and I think we were 12/0 at one point before we all started playing like it was Dominions. Game took longer than it should because the scraps were so much fun, but it was an extremely easy victory (Heal/Clarity Cho?!). Only one player on their team had a clue. Poor guy.

I tried a jungle Veigar game last night in normal. It was a great time. I ended up carrying the game (along side a competent Vayne). There was a guy in the game who was such a fair weather complainer it wasn’t even funny. “Oh man, I quit. Our jungle never ganks” 5 min later “Jungle Veigar rules!”
Ahhh, pubbies.

mx and I did a Dominion last night with pubbies for the ages. I second-picked Yorick for bottom, so of course later teammates picked Singed and Karthus. (mx was Poppy, and we had a decent Graves.) They ceded bottom to me without asking, so maybe they were always planning to rush top with the rest.
They failed so miserably to accomplish anything that I abandoned bot and came to help. Karthus and Singed took turns feeding themselves into Kassadin’s maw in the bottom and mx and I managed to turn things around up top. Every time Singed died – which was often – he either accused the other team of hacking and threatened to report them or called something OP. Weird things, like Blood Scent. Karthus said nothing the entire game except for a few pings to try to get people to do things that were dumb. Occasionally he’d wander down to attack Kassadin alone and die horribly. Both Singed and Karthus died something like 15-18 times each. After Singed complained about “OP movespeed” several times, I told the other team that he thought everything in the game was OP and they should just ignore him. He replied in allchat that I was 12 and they should ignore me. Several times during the game he dropped racial and homophobic slurs. A few deaths in he complained that he always loses Dominion. There was no obvious sign that he recognized his common role in these losses.
mx and I carried that game on our dicks. The only reason I can figure that we won is that the enemy team made strange build choices. Two of their team members including Morgana built Archangels Staves, which will never translate to significant AP in Dominion, and one of them built a Frozen Heart, which is a wonderful item for a team that isn’t ours.
After the game, Singed, whose contributions to our victory were negative, turned his complaining to taunting the other team, telling them to “get good.”
Having a 3/5/40 Taric match feels oh so good.

I completely agree and wrote about the very same thing in my blog 6 months ago.

No, it’s just a phrase. Might even be qt3 specific one?
Yesterday I had a discussion with Dragonpup and told him that I think Graves will be severely nerfed. I just announce it early and loudly so in six months when Riot actually does the nerfs I can say I predicted it.

So I burned my way through most of the free to play Champions for this week to see what they were like. As always, this is just how I felt about the character, not any real analysis of the character’s true potential, which would be for a player much more skilled and experience than I.
-
Ashe: She felt okay, I guess. Nothing bad, nothing great. I prefer Caitlyn and Tristana.
-
Corki: Love his R missiles. For some reason I kind of didn’t like his machine gun attack. I think the sound FX for it just sound weak, even if the power is effective.
3. Nasus: I honestly am too lazy to worry about anal last hitting most of the time. Yes, yes, I know how that hurts me. But Nasus was great because his Q made me care about last hitting. He also became much tankier than I was expecting.
-
Jarvan IV: Snore. I assume someone out there is amazing with this Champion, but I found him dull to play.
-
Cho-Gath: Surprisingly fun to play! I loved eating things and getting bigger and bigger. Silencing people was nice as well.
-
Master Yi: I already owned Master Yi, because I find him mindless and easy to play decently. If I want to play but don’t feel very mentally sharp, Master Yi is the one for me.
Chop. Chop. Chop. Chop. Chopchopchopchopchopchopchopchopchopchopchopchop.
-
Soraka: I could palpably feel myself annoying the other team as I played her. I didn’t enjoy her quite as much as Sona last week, but the feel was similar.
-
Xerath: I didn’t hate Xerath, but I kind of spent the entire match wishing I was playing Kog Maw instead.
Didn’t play Annie or Amumu.

Those are mostly pretty accurate sum-ups. Ashe -does- do less damage than Cait, e.g., but she makes up for it with incredible utility.
Yi is a pubstomper. He will generally be a poor pick if your opponents know what they’re doing. At the beginner level he’s fine.
Re: Nasus: you should always care about last-hitting – money wins games. Nasus makes it easy though. You should generally build Nasus tanky; I havent played him in a while, but the thing to do used to be Trinity Force and tank stuff. Then you farm for a while and come out as an unkillable asshole who two-shots carries.
Jarvan’s MO is being extremely difficult to kill while putting out steady damage and disrupting enemies. He will not nuke anyone down after the first few levels, but his damage is consistent and he is very hard to kill.
If you liked Nasus, do try Annie. Her Q is a single target nuke that is free if you kill with it. Makes farming a breeze. Plus she has a stun.

I think you just described the mindset of nearly every Yi player out there.

Pick Cait, win games. Still getting used to ranged AD carry. I’m getting great farm, but I don’t seem to be wracking up the kills I think I should be.
Anyone have a build? I have been doing typical Doran x 2 and boots into a BF sword. Into an IE, Zeal, then BThirster when possible. I’m not convinced that is optimal however. I have been taking Flash every time, and TP when my team doesn’t carry it. Otherwise I have been thinking Exhaust/Ignite depending on opposite team comp. Thoughts?

You’ll probably want to upgrade the Zeal into a Phantom Dancer before buying a BT, and probably skip the BT unless you’ll have time to farm up the bonuses. Everything else looks ok. After that buy based on what you need. Last Whisper if they’re stacking armor, you may need to buy some defense if they’re getting to you. peacedog is a good Caitlin, get advice from him.

For Cait I usually go 1 dorans unless I’m taking a lot of damage in lane. Next I get boots 1, zeal, boots 2, BF, Phantom, IE, then black axe?(the as weap that stacks an armor debuff) or Last Whisper if the team has a lot of armor. Add def as needed or grab a second Phantom at the end.
