I do sometimes wish for a “Start Game” vote similar to the surrender vote, if everyone is in and just waiting for the creeps to start spawning or whatever. If someone still needs to shop they can ignore the vote or vote no.
And fwiw, moving to a new place with a new isp has completely solved my loading screen issues. It’s pretty amazing Riot hasn’t been able to fix that issue.

AP Shaco is annoying, but he isn’t actually good. He can explode people who walk into bushes, and he can explode people who dive a platform he’s prepped–unless creeps reach the platform, in which case his prep goes up in smoke. Scary. Akali, in contrast, is one of the best murder machines in the game, a trait which is much more useful than jungle ambushes. Sure, buying sweeper or lightbringer makes her a hell of a lot less problematic, but most people aren’t at an elo where their team will actually buy those items to counter the fucker.
See, the other problem with Akali is that if you aren’t tanky deeps (or sometimes even if you are depending on how the game is going) she doesn’t even USE her smoke bomb to kill you. Lightbringer and the Sweeper don’t counter anything when she is just exploding your face with an all out assault because you are a mage or ranged carry.

I’m coming around to the view that poppy’s a better ban than jax, although admittedly that’s because I find her much easier to play than jax. Dunno if that’s common or not.
How you know it was a great game: you did well AND Therlun did badly!

And my third game of the night is a win! Despite going 0-6 to Akali in lane we win because their Kog left halfway through.
I appreciate my net karma is approaching zero, but I would prefer sensible games over equal amounts of insane ones.

Wow, two frustrating games tonight. I was bot as Caitlyn (Cheq and I were last pick and had to pick up some damage as everyone else was tank/support. I’m not super confident with ranged AD…) …and Le Blanc ate my damn face.
But because Gragas was mid and the rest of Le Blanc’s team lost the game hard it didn’t really matter in the long run.
Then I picked up Irelia planning to take her top vs their jungler. Picked up a regrowth as I expected the top laner to be Temo and I figured just shrugging off his damage would be grand (regrowth on top of two regen quints = nice). BUT, last pick tryndamere demanded top and then when it turned out there was no enemy jungler and he died on the second wave he then started saying I need to go top. So I started going top, but then he said he was going to go top with me and we’d leave Janna to it (!?). So I went back bot, then he died again (IIRC) so I went top to cover, but the he wasn’t going to go bot, so I went bot again… jesus christ. I was two levels behind and no farm and then died top to their eve/twitch mega-dive combo. And the rest of the game just went from bad to worse. Tryn ended 0/11/6 or something, the rest of us were about 6 or 7 deaths before it was all over. SO FRUSTRATING. No-farm Irelia might as well piss in the wind for what use she is. GRRRRRRRRR.
