Good point. Next time I will push the button that causes electric currents to zap the guy until he complies with common sense.

Just say, I’m going solo top when you lock in. If they disagree, tell them they are last pick and should just do what they are told/play support. If they troll you afterwords then meh, it was going to happen anyway.

It would have been me and him top and Janna bottom, which wouldn’t have beenany worse than what happened anyway, I guess. What was lulz was he said he expected solo top, which was why he picked Tryn!

Oh well, some games you when when you shouldn’t have, some games you lose when (maybe) you shouldn’t have. Trick is to not do all the losing up-front when elo rises and falls the the fastest!

Sometimes people will ignore team and lane composition, but it’s worth trying to head that off by saying that you’re going solo top when you pick.

So if anyone was on the fence about the Nocturne Harrowing skin, they just changed the particle effects for Duskbringer and Unspeakable Horror and they look great.

This. People at <1200 ELO have weak wills, if you run top and say “go bot, your abilities will get more kills there” (ie provide a bogus reason they can agree with), they’ll follow your orders.

Over 35 minutes the Fiddle on my team went 0/10/6 with 43 cs… Best argument for eugenics I have ever experienced.

I just started playing this, and I’m already frustrated with the quality of my teammates in most games. If anyone doesn’t mind playing with a relative newbie (I’m not that bad I swear) my username is the same as here. I’ve mostly been playing Tryndamere, though I started with Ashe.

How the hell do you get mumble to work? When I use it, all I hear is feedback until I kill the speakers.

The self test stuff is horrible. Power through that, then ask the guys how bad it is.

~C~

You stop using microphone ports and get a USB headset.

In reality it probably has to do with a sound device conflict.

On some sound cards/drivers you need to unplug and plug the mic jack back in to get the recording system to reset itself.

I’m not sure if you are talking about the same thing, but make sure you run the audio wizard when you first start mumble. 90% of problems are solved simply by doing this, mumble self configures a lot of stuff based on that one simple wizard.

Cheq! You were the one who said “stuff it, let him have top and let him lose the game for us”.

It kinda doesn’t matter though. Their team were all solid to quite good (I think the eve/twitch combo was planned and it worked well) and Tryn was bad. We would have almost certainly lost anyway. Hard to turn around a 4v5. Shit, not only was Tryn a bad player, and a bad person, he only built a Zeal and a Nashor’s tooth (IIRC) with his boots by game end.

Whaa? Nashor’s tooth? Really? Is there some super sekrit squirrel build to Tryn involving mana regen and AP?

Sorry! It was Stinger. I don’t think that improves things.

Yeah that doesn’t make sense. It’s more expensive than a Recurve Bow and doesn’t build into anything, and 10% CDR on Trynd isn’t exactly powerful.

A few things:

Game starts at 1m 20s, not 2m. Second, have a tear of the goddess and a spammable spell? You can get +100 mana charged up if you’re fast. Third, it’s pretty important to figure out who’s going bot, and who’s going to cap mid. If you’re playing solo (like I always do, because euro-mumble don’t play that stupid game), then you need to figure out who’s where. Finally, your starting items may differ depending on who’s on the other side. If you know they are sending 4 AD’s, maybe a chain vest and boots will work out better than a longsword, boots, and some other crap.

Yea but you can do that with say 30secs to a minute at most. 80 seconds is just a bit much.

Jim, we play dominion on Bunnymumble. Drop by sometime if you’re looking for a game, although currently most of us are obsessed with Payday and/or Dungeon Defenders.

Yeah, in just about every game I’ve been in, that’s decided pretty quickly.

Re Jim: I agree that it would change mechanics ever so slightly, since you also gain experience during that downtime as well, and it gives folks a chance to power up items or abilities (like Kassadin). But would it change the game all that much? No. But if I got a minute back from every game of LoL I have ever played? I think if we’re just counting wins i’m at like 300, and lets say I’m just a 50/50 player so thats 600 games. That’s 10 hours of my life wasted waiting for the damned game to start after it’s already loaded.

(Yeah, i realize that there is no way in hell I have 600 games of Dominion as most are probably standard Summoner’s Rift 5v5, but you do get the idea)
