Sure, there are lots of situations where certain actions might have benefited your team greatly yet not awarded any points. How would you give out points for that though?

For all the players in the game the situation might have been different, but for people just seeing the score board that Blitz simply was a bit better in a score system that assigns points in pretty much the only way an automated system can do. Based on kills and their location and captures.

I should just never play anything but Warwick. sigh

Oh yeah, I have no idea how you could score that, this is probably close to the best they can do except maybe finding a solution to scoring bottom player more usefully.

Looks like Samus! (and they are both girls)

It’s the megaman skin people have been asking for, it’s about as close as they can get without being sued.

Woookong! I think he’s going to be a beast now. I was already doing really well with him, but the no lifesteal on his Q was a big handicap.

Vlad on my team rushed Warmog’s…
Garen on my team ulted a half health Monkey King Mirage. Did ~ 400 damage before it disappeared. This is my nightmare.

In case anyone is interested Games Radar has a summary up on the recent WCG USA qualifier “scandal”:

I think Kotaku has a write up as well but I’m not about to subject my eyes to their website.

In my nightmare, Garen chases Yi from the outermost tower to the Nexus.

I think I may have had that one. Getting very weird deja vu!

I was in that game.

Or maybe I wasn’t.

Playing too much Dominions kind of ruins you for SR, doesn’t it? I’ve forgotten how to last hit and use wards, play way too aggressively, and think that dying isn’t really a big deal.

I haven’t had that issue, but sometimes it feels weird going back to 475 starting gold and only one skill point.

One good thing about changing game modes is that it highlights what’s important in both modes: the objectives. In both modes, kills are a means to an end. If you want to win in SR, don’t over-focus on damaging other players – focus on killing buildings. We’ve all seen those teams who feel just great about finally catching up and killing Singed, while the rest of Singed’s team kills two towers and a rax.

Enemy players are relevant only insofar as they help or stop you from accomplishing that goal – killing them means time to kill buildings and money to do both those things faster and better. Dying means handing them the same opportunity. Dominion, I think, helps highlight this by making the win condition more central and minimizing the impact of kills.

Samusrael! Finally, proof Ezrael is a girl.

Yes, I know the energy tank’s in the wrong place and her gun arm is her right and McKnight’s post but Ezrael is still a girl. That leftt arm looks closer to Zero Suit Samus with her gun still active than Megaman too.

Riot need to make Lucha Libre Jarvan next. Seriously.

Well, here are my impressions of the new rotation. As always, this has little to do with whether a character is actually “good” or “bad”, just how I felt playing them.

Gangplank: Meh. I liked his ult? The pistol shot reloaded fast? I realize there’s a CW that Gangplank is quite powerful, but I just didn’t find him very fun or interesting to play.

Singed: Same thing. This is the second time I’ve played Singed, and I realize he’s supposed to be powerful, but I just don’t like his powers. My brain still rebels against the idea that he’s melee. I just want to toss molotov cocktails all day from range.

Malzahar: He was decent fun. I feel like there are other ranged casters whose powers are easier to use though.

Galio: Loved Galio. That sort of grenade attack he has is awesome.

Sona: Love Sona. When I have the XPBux to buy her I’m buying her. Playing around with the auras is so much fun. She looks pretty, she sounds good, she probably smells nice.

Jax: Jesus. A fair number of characters in LoL feel as if they have an internal switch…that moment when whatever level of power escalation or whatever combination of items “flip a switch” and they start feeling really badass, if not unstoppable/frightening. I’m not sure I’ve played a champion in Lol up till today that had a harder, more frightening “On switch” moment. One minute I’m kind of feeling things out, the next minute (I think about level 7), I’m wading into 2v1 situations and don’t give a shit like a honey badger.

Tryndamere: Didn’t like him at all. Which is part of a pattern: I pretty much don’t like any champion with a sort of "self cannibalize, high risk/high rewards style. I hated Mordekaiser for similar reasons. He just felt like a stupid guy who died a lot.

Didn’t play Vladimir.

Miss Fortune: Played her for the second time. Liked her better than the first time, but for a ranged shooty shoot type character I think I’d still prefer Tristana or Caitlyn or Vayne. Or…

Graves: Nice. Rewards aggression without feeling stupid like Tryn. I can definitely feel the lack of crowd control and the lack of range, but the sheer damage output made that mostly okay. Graves almost feels like a melee character with a reach bonus, like Kayle when she’s getting the flaming sword going.

Malzahar is extremely powerful, but most experienced users have found out to stay away from him. He also feels less directly powerful than other casters like Brand or Annie, but in reality he’s probably the most powerful among them in some situations.

Malzahar is super strong, he force enemy to buy QSS just to counter him.

excellent farmer and pusher.

The only problem you’ll find with sona is that she just doesn’t do much damage. She’s a support hero, who’s intended to keep the rest of her team alive and then get a nice ult in teamfights to help them win.

I’m surprised more people don’t buy QSS. It’s a cheap form of magic resistance that is helpful in plenty of situations (Warwick, Lux, Morgana, Vladimir, Karthus).

The Euro meta seems to favor QSS by midgame to counter a lot of champs. I think US players depend entirely on Flash when it many situations it’s essentially as good as a flash.

It doesn’t save you from being stunlocked so your timing has to be really good. Also you don’t get much extra MR and the cost above negatron is 700.
