Thanks for the feedback, will consider.

The most fun you can have with Trundle is creating a 5 on 3 fight by splitting the enemy team into two groups with your giant land penis.

I love Malz, always have.

BTW there was a post on LOL forums about AD Malz which of course I assumed was a troll. Turns out he started it as a troll build and in DOM it works due to something that’s going on with the Voidlings. Build AD/CDR and take Aegis and your pets do crazy damage and totally wreck people in DOM.

What I do is this (stolen shamelessly from a website, but it has actually worked for me in practice):

Start with Doran’s Ring.

Start by draining one of the double golems; switch to autoattack the other while drain cools down. Drain the same small golem you originally drained, finish him off with autoattacks (if need be). Kill the remaining small golem by draining; autoattack.

Level up E (Dark Wind). Go to wraiths; smite the blue wraith. Drain a red wraith, then use E on the wraiths - it will kill them all or nearly kill them all, such that only an autoattack or two is needed.

From here, all level ups should be drain first, Q (Terror) if you can’t get drain.

Go to wolves, drain big wolf. Use E on wolves that are left, finish them with drains/autoattacks.

Go to blue buff golem. Start once you have around 140 mana or so (you pretty much should have that without having to wait; one of the benefits of the Doran’s Ring). Lure blue buff golem into brush with two autoattacks; drain/autoattack him to death (obviously using smite when you can). Finish smaller side golems.

Teleport back to base. Pick up boots (and a ward if you feel like it).

Restart at double golems. Then do red (with smite), then do wraiths, then do wolves. At this point you should be level 5, and if you are fast enough (particularly if you have the mastery that increases buff duration), you should still have enough blue buff left to immediately go do dragon by draining/smiting him.

Don’t get more then 2 points in drain, max your fear first, then W then E.

Only start Dorans Ring if you are at serious risk of being counter jungled, as an amp tome start lets you rush Kages and start that gold tick nice and early aswell as allowing you to more accurately gauge how much Dorans you will need. Either way you typically end up with Kages, Sorc Shoes and at least one Dorans Ring so it’s not really the end of the world :)

I’ll have to experiment. I would be afraid I’d end up mana starved without starting Doran’s - starting Doran’s also gives you much better options if they steal your blue (because you’ve got some independent mana regen there).

Regarding Drain, I like the third point there because it just helps you clear Dragon and jungle faster, in between your ganks with R. I know that terror helps with your ganks by keeping opponents locked down longer however.

Yes. Here was my thinking, mind you I had put exactly 20s of thought into this at the time - as I wasn’t intending to jungle her at first.

She (Dragon lady) is not mana based.
Yes, she would benefit from the CD redux on blue.
BUT, her AE skill has a long CD at level 1, and might not help me at all (in the same camp) until I get more skill points in it.
She has no sub level 6 gank.
Red would help me kill faster (especially with double proc’ing Q), more so than blue.
Red would likely be up again as I’m ready to gank or do dragon depending on the speed of her clear.

It actually worked out really well. The odd thing? I got CV’d there. That sort of validated my choice.

~C~

For every 2 games I lose as Twitch, this game occurs and makes it all worth it.

Udyr, Lee Sin and Nocturne are all vastly superior to Warwick at this point. GP would be my fourth pick jungle choice over WW these days.

I think for me I would only take WW if the other team had 1 and only 1 champ that REALLY needed to be locked down in a team fight. And even then WW ult is so stupidly easy to counter its kind of meh.

Shit I totally spaced on Trundle in my above list. I actually like Trundle a lot. I think he has the advantage of being so rarely used that people kind of forget what he does and how to deal with him. His ganks aren’t the greatest but at least he can gank before level 4.

Nunu is pretty worthless in solo queue. I mean maybe if your team already has enough damage but lacks support you can take him, but eh. I think the fact that consume only works on minions just diminishes his usefulness once you’re out of the jungle/lane phase.

I’ve had some success with Fiddle using Saintvicious’ guide as a starting point, but the current meta doesn’t really lend itself well to have a squishy champ like Fiddle coming out of the jungle.

Rammus/Amumu I feel are still viable but are more team dependent since they can’t really carry by themselves.

Tryndamere/Shaco/Yi only really worth doing for the lulz. Tryn and Yi are kind of easily countered in the jungle but they scale like monsters later. Shaco is amazing for the first 20 minutes of a game and horrible thereafter (at least before his newest buffs, I dunno).

Anything else I haven’t done lately.

Here is a public service announcement, from laners to junglers:

When we ask you if you can gank, or if you can cover the lane, the answer is not “Yes, let me get this buff first.” The answer is not “Yes, give me 25 seconds.”

It is totally fine if the answer is no. We would like it to be yes, but we know you can’t be everywhere. But when we ask these things, they are time-sensitive. We cannot wait for you to get that buff to gank, because the person we got low on health is going to back off. We cannot wait 25 seconds for you to cover our lane; we asked because we’re going to die if we stay. It’s okay if you can’t do it, it really is. But this stuff can’t wait.

At the pick screen, lowest ELO claims solo top, nobody else says anything until 4 people have picked, at which point the rage starts because the 3rd pick took Nidalee, said “top solo”, and locked.

Gotta love this shit. Hell, I would even have played support if people had communicated, but nooooo…

And now they probably expect me to go bot with Gangplank and play support, but fuck that.

You COULD join the mumble server and look for team mates… but it seems you and everyone else think we are too mean. People play 10-20 games with the mumble group and then never bother to join the server again. :(

Because you are a bad person Therlun.

Conversely, give your jungler as much advanced warning as possible - “I’m getting owned top, I might need you to cover in a bit.” Then maybe the jungler has moved to the top camps and isn’t halfway through killing lizard when you need him to cover top right this second so the tower doesn’t die.

I don’t think you’re too mean (well, I think espressojim can be unwontedly sarcastic at times, but that doesn’t count). You guys just always play normal, and I kind of like playing ranked. Well, other than the trolls.

It’s because I’m frightened of you. You’re all quite kind here, but so intense in your discussion of things that I know that even though you are kind to me when we play, you secretly are wishing hot death upon me for every stupid action I take.

Which is pretty much every action I take.

So I like to play with random people, where I don’t care if they are pissed off that I totally shouldn’t have purchased Malady on WW. :)

Therlun wishing death upon people who make stupid actions in LoL would be irony indeed.

Heh, yea. Happens all the time. Halfway through ganking bot/clearing camps “OMG WHY YOU NO COVER MY LANE” is screamed from the opposite side of the map.

Also don’t expect a jungler to cover your lane when a buff is up. It’s really, really bm. If I, as a jungler, appear on the map and the enemy knows my camps/buffs are up he will have no problem going and stealing them putting me very behind.

Can anyone give me a reason killing the nexus is worth 50 Gold?

Pogo and myself, sure. Anti-Bunny on a bad day. Everyone else? Nah.

I wish death on all people on all days, regardless of quality.
