Among my very favorite combinations for Dominion is Lee Sin and Poppy. Iā€™ve had games where, over and over, we come around on opposite sides of someone difficult to dislodge from a turret, I kick them over to the waiting Poppy, and she alley oops them into the wall.

His movement buff goes away the second his shield is broken though, so if someone is kiting you and not just running away you lose it. Clearly you need more Boots of Swiftness.

iHis Ult is crazy good mate I think you are underestimating the ability to suppress and move a target, but yea he fills the same role as a Phoenix Udyr in the jungle.

Advise me! What sort of champs in general and who in paricular can I counterpick top against:

  • Garen
  • Irelia, Nasus
  • Chogath

Normally I take Nasus or GP top lane. But Iā€™m looking to learn one or two more who will do well against the champs above who often give me trouble.

Iā€™ve had a lot of luck going against Chogath with an AD carry. Not because I can kill him easily, but because I donā€™t give a fuck; between a farmed Vayne and a farmed Chogath, itā€™s the Vayne whoā€™s a lot scarier.

Iā€™ve been roflstomped top as Nasus by Akali because she played super aggressive starting at level 1, and have destroyed Nasus as Teemo, Ashe, and Annie, but Iā€™m low-ELO.

Garen beats everything on that list Chequers. For Garen himself? Kennen is quite a good choice off the top of my head, while also doing rather well against the others so that might be a good starting point if you are looking for a brand new character. Ryze also does decent enough against all but Irelia.

Akali > Nasus and Choā€™Gath

Iā€™m not quite sure how she does against Irelia, I imagine itā€™s a toss-up 50/50. Itā€™s weird that I havenā€™t ever been Akali v Irelia up top.

This is all I have from personal experience, though Kennen was only one game and that was a couple months ago.

Iā€™ve changed my mind. Yorick is higher priority ban than Akali in Dominion. Fuck that guy.

He was Sivir and just farmed all game, didnā€™t participate in any teamfights. He had like, 75 cs more than everyone else and he pushed a base tower down, but meanwhile we took their inhibitors. Sometimes he farms too muchā€¦

I was playing support blitz. Not my best game but I did make him burn flash on an early gank mid :)

Swain beats Garen and Nasus soooo easy top. Olaf can beat Irelia and Chogath if you are aggressive early. Usually for Chogath teams just send another farmer against him, like Galio.

With Ryze mid against Vlad, what should my starting item be? I went mana crystal and tried being aggressive but every time Iā€™d take him down to a sliver of life heā€™d find a way to kill me. Maybe I should have taken a magic resist item as my second item? And not playing bad would have helped too.

The thing with Vlad is his skills have long cooldowns early. You want to watch for when he uses transfusion then hit him after that as he wont be able to use it on you. He really doesnā€™t get dangerous until level 9.

Magic resist definitely. Get a Negatron cloak and itā€™s not wasted because youā€™ll be able to counter-harass more, get more farm in, and then build it into Bansheeā€™s Veil eventually.
