Ashe and Caitlin are the 2 best AD carries right now (besides Graves, who is always banned). Vayne is good but her range makes her difficult to play.

Nothing wrong with having mains. Sure, 1 main isn’t the best since you are screwed if they are banned. I do have a tier I go down if I have first pick, though, but it changes depending on what the other team picks or what is banned.

1st Morgana
2nd Swain or Annie (depending on the other AP carry’s harass/range + how many squishies are on their team)

If I don’t get one of those, I end up going:

3rd Caitlin
4th Lee Sin
5th Blitzcrank

Caitlin is probably my strongest, since I still am 5-1 with her, but it is easier to carry with mid solo so I usually go that way.

My bans are always:

Graves
Kassadin

I put Brand/Annie above Morgana. I love playing Morg but she’s so useless for such a long time between roots. Any AP carry is great at punishing people who are chasing your team, or punishing people out of position, but Morg feels like she takes too god damn long to do it. I feel like a very skilled Lux can do long range root and AoE damage better, with a finisher that doesn’t actually require the rest of your team to have done well before you fire it off, if that makes any sense.

But of course, there’s nothing like Black Shield, it’s too unique and useful a skill to bring to the table. It makes people blow abilities in the same way they have to do something about Banshee’s Veil, but they gotta do it every 10 seconds.

20/0/14 with attack speed janna in dominions. Went Catalyst->Odin’s, Phantom Dancer, Boots of Swiftness, Wit’s End, and Kitae’s Bloodrazor. Was melting people at the end. I think first 0 death game in Dominions I ever had. Will have to try that again.

You are right, I did forget him :P He is easily as good as Cait and Ashe. Getting an early Wriggle’s with him helps so much when taking down dragon or sustaining in lane.

But that’s true with Ashe and Cait too, isn’t it (that Wriggles rules)? I keep meaning to try doing a Wriggles start on AD carries but never do. It almost feels like it would be unfair on Graves.

I only ask because I Was wondering if you felt there was something in particular of Kog that synergized well with Wriggles.

A good start - most common thought I’ve seen is that you start boots + pots or dorans. Everything you wrote up to BT is good, but we recently had a discussion here where the consensus seemed to be she desperately needs an IE before BT. BT is apparently an option, I’ve seen decent players use a PD on her as well.

Last Whisper isn’t bad toward the end (but shouldn’t come before IE and something further like PD or BT).

Stop having a “main,” especially if you’re inexperienced. You need to branch out in roles (and in characters, but start with roles). The concept of a “main” should not exist for you in this game unless your name is Westrice, and even he doesn’t exclusively play the champion he’s known for playing.

I’m fairly limited by the characters I own right now. And the dropoff in usefulness between Caitlin (or relatively similar ranged characters like Tristana or Kog Maw) and anything at all melee is so huge it’s not even worth investigating. I’d be going from “not very useful” to “Actively stabbing my own team in the back.”

I’m trying, slowly to get decent with Poppy, and maybe Sona once I buy her.

In the meantime, my post was basically a joke. I’m, like level 21, 22, and never play draft pick matches.
