I got killed about 10 times by an Eve the other day. I’d never even seen Eve in a match before, and the stealth was super frustrating.

I had a legendary Deathcap/Lichbane Eve on my team in Dominion earlier today. She was exceptionally useful. “Oh, you thought this was going to be a 1v1? Sorry, no.”

I’ve found Eve works very well in Dom as a force multiplier, it’s just that 99% of Eve players try to just backdoor or solo everything with her and she fails badly at that.

Yeah I got into an argument with an enemy Eve after I said “gg, sorry about your Eve” in all chat at the end of a game. She seemed to think her 11 decaps were worth more than her 11 deaths (to 3 kills)

In my experience, back-capping in solo queue is exactly like AP Shaco; annoying, frustrating, but ultimately worthless much more often than not. Great, you decapped a point, and while you were doing that your team died. They died because duh, pub match, someone got caught or did something stupid.

I can see the value in a premade or an unusually coordinated pub match, because if you rejoin your teammates top while one of your opponents is recapping their mid, you can fight a 4v3 at the tower, which is a much better idea than a 4v4 on a towe, but generally? No thanks. Go gank bot instead.

Because the route that #1 rated EU guy worked out depended on doing blue, and doing blue depended on the extra hps gained from improved revive. And because a stealther in the jungle is an unbelievable pain in the ass.

It’s worth everybody buying pink wards early game just to make it 4v5 late game. Late game Eve is thee worst character.

I tend to start doing that if we can’t win fights, and I will stand by it. As you say, though, it’s of no help if your team gets into the fight they already couldn’t win with even fewer people. Also, you don’t have to be Eve to do this.

Mainly what I want to happen when I do this is for my team to not fight at all. This can result in two potential favorable outcomes: they let you do it/can’t stop you time, or they send people to stop you and hopefully the rest of your team can do what they couldn’t when those people were still there.

It helps to either have Priscilla’s Blessing and be able to cap very quickly, or to be strong enough to fight who they send. I won us a game as a well-equipped Poppy because the rest of my team was not capable of winning fights because of one farmed person on the other team – Xin Zhao, I think – and I started running around capping undefended points. They sent Xin Zhao to stop me – why wouldn’t they, he can kill everyone else – and I killed him and kept going. We won that game, by a small margin, and we’d have lost if I’d stayed with the team.

It does zero good to leave your team to fight one-sided battles that they will definitely lose and then get caught out by someone who recalled or respawned and die a few seconds into it. You need to pick the right moments.

The thing about shaco is that if he’s on your team, he’s incredibly useless. And if he’s on the enemy team, he stealth ganks every lane once a minute. Strange how that works, isn’t it?

Well, what was happening every time is that while Eve ran off to decap a point, the rest of her team was getting wiped out, so for every point Eve decapped, we took it back plus one or two more.

That’s because every time he’s on your team, he says he’s going to “start roaming at level 3,” without realizing that he’s going to have less farm than if he just went jungle AND he gimps the other person laning with him.

Every time he’s on the enemy team, he goes jungler and maxes his boxes.
