Note to self: friends of friends = pubbies.

Ugh.

You mean… /t /j /d /l. Don’t ever write the full thing.

Most retarded game ever.

The enemy goes all heal/teleport, with one rally. They teleport mid, drop wards to tank the tower, and try to five man it. Two of them die.

In lane, TF feeds ripplez, while Inigima and I repeatedly make their trynd recall. Three drop at about 12 minutes.

You can do it using only one ward if you manage to stagger you teleports (to make it permanently invulnerable). You do need to kill the mid character first though or else you won’t get the tower. You also need at least one fortify.

Been thinking about Miss Fortune builds. Please indulge my theorycrafting (and comments welcome). With her coolest ability (make it rain) firing off ability power, is there a reason most people don’t build for it? Cooldown reduction, mana, and ability power are common on magic items, meaning spamable Rain and then some nice passive damage boost. You can throw on a bit of attack damage for double up as well, if you fancy.

I find MF not the sort of person I want to see standing around auto-attacking. Run in, drop some doom and then run away seems safer. Whenever I’ve stood still to auto-attack it has ended badly!

because you do a lot more auto attack than just using making it rain…

plus ad carry > ap carries.

So I just realized that if I get sheen on lolplank, his pistol will do double damage. Including if it crits. Which means I’ve just realized sheen is a core item and why the fuck haven’t I been using it?

Who do you want to stand and autoattack with?

I find MF not the sort of person I want to see standing around auto-attacking. !

what calista is trying to say is that MF 2 shot most of people so she doesn’t have to stand around and auto attack…

right right??

I have no idea what I’m saying other than…

  • Make it Rain is great fun and can kill (and gets AP bonus, quite a lot actually)
  • Bullet Time is great fun (and gets no bonuses).
  • If you’re auto-attacking you’re probably going to win the fight anyway, or you’re stuffed because you don’t have another ability up to hurry things along.

I just found in team fights I was adding value through Make it Rain, Bullet Time and lesserlylyl, Double Shot.

Just pondering :D

I think the best way for you to learn where you’re going wrong is to wait until idris gets back from China, then play a game with him and lol and as he goes 30/2 with Fortune. Just, you know, pay attention to what he does. You won’t really need to pay attention to what you’re doing because he’ll be carrying so hard it won’t matter if you feed constantly.

Yeah, he is superb… I think it’s probably a matter of learning timing and placement… though I do love looking at the potential 300+ damage you can do at level 18 on top of the 300 you start with on Make it Rain if you AP build.

Just had a great game with MF, went 10/5/12 with 237 creep kills (I was mid) in a LONG 55 minute game (no tanks to help us finish the towers). The Katarina player went 17/6/11, which was the only other player of note, and by the end had 276 (!) creep kills and FOUR bloodthirsters (!!).

Another useful command

/ignore enemy

I think it is enemy then ignores all chat from the other side - useful when the other side are being irritating.

And another great game! We lost, but I went 9/10/12 (top kills, second-to-top assists). We couldn’t keep the team fights going so death was somewhat inevitable. Think I’m getting into the hang of MF - and these fights are all with Damage kit, basically. Tho googling suggests others are messing with AP MF as well.

Played a couple more practice games yesterday. Tried out Pantheon and Kayle. So far Gangplank is still my favorite. What other characters have good ranged attacks? I seem to like those better (Gangplank & Ashe so far).

Depends if you mean artillary style or just ranged. Kog Maw can be pretty awesome - but he doesn’t have the incredible range of say the crystal arrow

too many way to escape from make it rain, it’s not instant, it’s over 2 seconds, people can run/flash out of it, also the whole it’s on like 15 second cooldown also make it very useless in team fight, since you probably get one off.

MF’s ult as well as W benefit from AP as well, but she benefit from AD a whole lot more than AP.

I keep forgetting who was playing AP kog, even if you want ap kog you should get madred first, doesn’t matter if you have enough AP to hit 10% per hit when you use W, your W isn’t going to be up all the time, not mentioning you don’t have enough attack speed either. just get madred so you get 4% per hit no matter what as well as the 40% attack speed.

I don’t agree with this. I play Kog and generally go AD but on occasion go hybrid or pure AP. It’s situational and you really need to consider enemy composition. If the enemy team is mostly composed of squishy champions then you can be better served by the AP boost. You also play AP Kog a bit differently than AD Kog, and hang back a lot more. Remember without W Kog actually doesn’t have great range on his auto. I played a pure AP Kog just last night, grabbing Nashor’s Tooth for my attack speed boost and went 10/4/13.

There’s a significant difference between the 2 builds though.

With an AP build you use your passive to dart in and out, slowing enemies and dealing damage with your E. Your W allows you to still do some nice damage when you need to chase (you won’t have the lifesteal for a straight up slugfest though) and your Ult will do seriously crazy damage (as in enough to wipe some teams). It does make you more of an off-carry though, albeit a very good one.

With an AD build you focus on building lifesteal, relying on your W for attack speed. You can literally stand in a teamfight and fire away without too much worry, although you still die extremely fast if the enemy manages to land any CC on you. Your Ult is practically worthless for anything other then farming, you’ll do faaar more damage auto-attacking. Your using your E for a slow and nothing else and your Q allows you to poke really nicely. You are a hard carry and proud of it (Although I still think there are better hard carries out there, Trist for one).

As you can see, both builds are viable (and Riot has been changing a few things to make the difference more profound). Personally, I think the AD build is superior, but if your in a team composition that allows you to easily get your Ult off/has a carry already then I can see the argument of going AP. You just have to be damn sure you know what you’re sacrificing.

Thoughts on Lux everyone?

If the champion spotlight looks impressive, I’ll be buying her bundle. If not Zombie Ryze here I come!
