Most of the Halloween stuff looks pretty nice. Some really nice skins in the bunch. Wonder what the limited time runes are though?
Being a bit of a dancer at times I am tempted by TF and his Tango skin! Hehe.
Anyway, had a realization last night as MF. I was stomping around mid, 2 or 3 levels above most players (except their Trist, who I had killed once), and it came to me “WTF, I should be setting up the ganks!”. So I raced north and helped us get a kill. I should have probably beendoing that sooner, from lvl 6 between creep waves. The farmed mid player can really help keep the other team on the back foot, expecially if you are MF and naturally very quick.

I’m not sure Soraka needs lifesteal but it does sound like a fun build. I should try AD Janna some day.
Two wins in a row. One against a bad team; I cleaned up and they eventually surrendered (9 or 10 kills, 3 or so assits iirc. Ton of creep kills).
We were losing game 2 for the first 12-15 minutes, but narrowing the gap in that time. Down 10 kills at that point, I don;t think we quite caught up there. Didn’t matter. We had a pretty good player playing the golem. He called for a mid push (I had gotten nothing down bottom, spending over half the time at a 2-1 disadvantage. I got plenty of creep kills but didn’t glimpse their tower) and I joined him. Eventually others did two. I was a sneaky bastard and pulled of a ton of kills (5-6 from that point on and finished at 9/1/3) and two assists. And we just slowly pushed them back, taking tower 3, the inhibiter, the first nexus tower, then returning for #2. I’m still a little goofy on my skill timing and probably lucked into a few kills (especially in game 1). But I also find it tremendously fun to rocket jump behind someone and then ultimate then back behind our line. I got several assists that way and an outright kill (I wasn’t sure if the ult would kill the hero but knew it would be close). Gun girl is fun. I actually missed a chance for a sweet double kill (two enemies reduced to slivers by our golem guy; could have RJ’d in, q’d, and then r’d whoever was still standing), but I was too far back due to the insane melee that had just taken place (4v4 basically).

Haha, yeah. Assuming you have an organized team, if you run around healing people up in their lanes while jungling (with boots of mobility/swiftness, possibly), it can work and not be a total failure. I’ve seen it done a few times with varying levels of success, but I think the nerf to her infuse skill makes it less useful these days. Once upon a time you could fill up a health/mana bar in a few seconds and be out of there without leeching experience.

You’ll find far fewer opportunities to do this as you move up in summoner levels, sadly. Though even really good people do stupid things; I was just getting torn up mid by a kennen, until he had the bright idea to dash past me, giving me the opportunity to cannon him into the tower and lol.
In solo mid, it isn’t that rare to find someone being a little too aggressive who you can jump over and blast into your tower. But, yeah, all the really good players I’ve gone 1v1 against are way too cautious to let you do that. Usually they’ll just try to outfarm you and poke at you now and then when they have the chance.
I don;t know how often the game ranks you up. My W/L certainly hasn’t been that good. But last game, people immediately started bitching about who got to go mid and whether Shen was a tank. So I thought perhaps that I saw my first game against higher ranked competition. Two rage quits and my other two teammates were fucking douchers. The guy playing mordekaiser got mad at me when he jumped in against the golem dude and I don’t know who before the 30 second count to begin the game. I was back in the reeds. He died quickly; I doubt I would have been able to help.
Shen is one of the best tanks in the game. If people are arguing that, it isn’t a sign that you’ve moved out of noobville.
Well, the guy playing him kept saying he had never played him, but he saw this build, etc. Everyone else was saying he was a tank.
The lane arguments were more interesting. But I don’t remember who was playing what.
I was playing Garen earlier with mx, and I have to say he feels rather overpowered. It’s fun to just spin into the enemy team and maul them all while they fail to finish you off and your teammates destroy them. He’s also ridiculously fast for a dps tank. I barely ever got my ult off on anyone it would kill, but still picked up a third of the kills for our team, a few by running THROUGH TWO ENEMY TOWERS ALONE in order to catch someone. That is kind of ridiculous and I don’t really know why it works for him and no one else.
Woo, 8-0-5 as Morde with the enemy team surrendering at 25 min. He’s so so good early game.

Every AD Janna I’ve played with dominated. I’ve never tried it myself though.
Just won a game where my team was:
Kennen, Sona, Ashe, Akali and Annie
VS
Udyr, Mordekaiser, Malphite, Ryze and Sivir
and it wasn’t even close. I went 6/0/8 and our Akali went 13/2/7. In the end we only had 4 team deaths.
When I saw the other teams item builds after the game it became clear why we won:
Udyr: attack speed boots, all the components of Madred’s Blood Razor
Mord: Warmogs (HA!), Merc treads, 1 chain mail
Malphite: Doran’s shield, Ninja Tabi, Aegis, Heart of Gold.
Sivir: Chalice, Swiftness boots, Starks
Ryze: Archangel’s staff, spell pen boots.
Yikes.
Edit: Looking at their team stats, Ryze was their most experience player with 138 wins and 18 leaves. No one else had more than 40 wins and Mord had 3. My team had 3 players over 100 wins.
Went 17-8-12 with Swain, and now he is buffed :)

Fixed a bug with Shadow Walk where you could stun towers
…I wish I’d known about that in time to attempt to exploit it :p
