Both Tristana and Twitch have built in steroid abilities. This is much different from Ashe who has none and attacks once every five minutes until you’ve built up some AS.

I disagree. Sure, ATK speed is nice but I still think a BF sword is a great first big purchase on Ashe if you have the skills to stay in lane long enough to afford it. Having a BF sword and later IE ensures that people notice your presence. Fast attacks with very little damage are laughable.

After getting some +dmg, I do prioritize atk speed (usually a last whisper or phantom dancer) but I personally believe that increasing dmg helps the mid game far more than atk speed. And it’s usually the mid-game that decides matches.

The only character that I’ve seen prioritize atk speed and scare me a TF that ranks up his E first - the gold card stun followed by a flurry of auto-attacks can be nasty.

That’s kinda what makes some players underestimate Sivir’s toggle ability, though. Get fast attack speed and start chucking those 'rangs… people easily forget that they’re getting DPSed pretty quickly in a group melee.

wrong, ashe have burst with the ult + volley + auto attack.

volley use AD. Always build AD before attack speed.

Actually I’m alot more scared of a fast attacking ashe with little damage then a hard hitting one. The whole point of Ashe is the chain slow.

Exactly. If you’re relying on Ashe for pure attacks per second then you’re playing her wrong.

Her passive gives you higher crit chance for NOT attacking. The smarter way to play her is to use volley/to harass while you kite and wait for your crit chance to increase, then bam! Single shot someone. That’s why I like Inf Edge, Ghost Blade, Phantom Dancer. Improve my crit chance/damage and my kiting ability.

Attack speed on Ashe seems fundamentally wrong for her design.

I disagree. The slow is good for keeping people from straying too far in a team fight or too close too you, but I don’t like to prioritize it.

I Believe you only need to have around 1.2 attack speed to keep the slow up, chaining slow does absolutely nothing in a team fight, it’s only good for gank(if you have support, since if you try to gank with 60 ad, I turn around kill you then stroll out) and clear up.

Would you do it on sivir? I am going to try this with Tryst at some point, for sure.

I’m starting to have enough champions under my belt that I can pick based on my team and fill in weaknesses. That’s pretty rad, but I wish my teams would stop juking me. I’ll pick a champ after theirs are all laid out, wait a moment, and then frantically redo my masteries. I finish just in time to see someone else switched to the same type of champ. Hope mastery pages are added eventually!

Sivir is about the only ranged carry I’d probably not do this on ;)

I have been keen on trying this with Tryst ever since I saw Jim do it on Ashe in that first draft game.

I just had an awful game with Sivir where we held out for 50+ minutes but lost, playing with friends of people here (I think I was 4/9/32. But I died 4 times in laning). Kennen gave me fits mid early; had trouble getting my shield timing down on his stun building abilities. I was underfarmed (he wasn’t farming that much), and thus had difficulty getting the stuff I needed built, built. I’m sure going mieki’s -> chalice might be a waste (at the very least that 500 gold is boots + maybe more potions).

Yeah. This is why the ghostblade is not listed as having synergy with any ranged dps over on the wiki.

Chalice is core on Sivir, it’s really important for keeping Ricochet up aswell as poking with your boomerang. Also no chalice = no pushing and that’s what she does best.

Try the doran’s build, you’ll never look back.

Does Teemo really go invis while stuck in an Ashe arrow? Maybe it was a graphic glitch or something related to the stream but I don’t think so.

If he was still for the 5 secs or whatever then yes I think so, although I’ve never seen it.

I think doran build is only useful if you absolutely need it for getting early kills!!

it delays your core build and basically makes you useless for half of the game if you cant score kills

Tried Doran’s in our ghetto draft game with Trist mid versus Z as Morde. Didn’t do so well. I haven’t played much Trist in the last week and a half or so, so I might be a touch rusty. I think the other problem was I allowed Z to push to the tower. I didn’t get as much safety from that as I’d have liked and wound up hurting my farming. I’ll be trying it in some solo queue games this week, though. I would like to try it side lane, perhaps.

As for Chalice, last night I saw a sivir take the. . . maybe the regrowth pendant? No, that’s probably not right. It gave 22 health/5 and 10 mana/5, + some gold /5. I was trying to do the math in my head as I was falling asleep and couldn’t decide if that would be better than the chalice; obviously not at very low mana totals but it would be at high mana totals. I have no idea how much it costs to make. But the chalice is nice and cheap; <900 gold for sure (the upgrade is 500, and the Mekei is like 380 or something I think?). I assume that at <70% mana I would win every time, and that I’m probably going to be at that point during most of laning.

Why wouldn’t you build towards Manamune instead?

Because afaik it doesn’t proc from Ricochet.

I don’t think tear of the goddess grows with ricochet, but I do know that rageblade stacks grow with EVERY ricochet throw, which is very powerful!
