Came to post these, some really massive changes.

Riot have royally pissed me off this patch.
No need to nerf Corki’s Q.
They raped Galio’s ult again for no reason at all(It’s fine as it is IMO, Merc Treads = no dmg. Plus its obvious as fuck when a Galio is gonna ult.).
Sona got it in the ass again. Cant wait for next week. :3
Vlad got a little nerf but his W remains unchanged…
Dorans items got nerfed because people were stacking them. Which is kinda stupid imo. (Stacking a 400g item isn’t really that wise, especially if you’re a hard carry. You need that IE/Madred’s asap.)

I wonder when they’ll get around to nerfing Nidalee’s traps.
It could be just me and my noobishness, but I always find the balance between ranged and melee to shift in favor of melee as the game goes on longer. Kind of surprised at all the range nerfs.
Hell, with a stacked AP yi, I can almost one shot most ranged champs with alpha strike end game.
Man, Morgana took a beating too.
Runes and masteries absolutely can make a huge difference in the early game if the player knows exactly how to stack them. For example, I’ve played against lots of Akalis and they don’t do much damage before level 6 while being fairly squishy. Then if you have the misfortune of laning against Chiffy, you are left going “Wtf? How does he deal almost a thousand damage in less than 5 seconds and have over a thousand life at level 2?” I do not know the answer to these questions, I have only suffered through asking them.

sorry but even if your YI have 1000 AP, he won’t one shot or close to one shot range since even range with lowest hp have over 1500 hp, not mentioning magic damage reduction.
Sorry guys, I don’t know what the hell happened to my sound tonight.
I conntected to Mumble as normal and heard people in channels fine. As we started a game, though, I started losing sound. In the first game I kept the headphones plugged in. I couldn’t hear anyone talking (but I could see the overlays light up when others were). In the second game I went no headphones but I couldn’t hear people talk or see overlays light up (maybe because I unplugged while connected to mumble?).
This is wierd. Audio Test in left 4 dead 2 is faking me out - when I talk the meter moves like it should but I don’t here anything. OTOH with phones plugged in, I can hear itunes just fine(and L4d2 sounded fine as well).
I reinstalled mumble (wiping my settings) but that hasn’t helped yet. Ican’t find where to adjust the push to talk key (I know I am missing something stupid here).

Wow, another champion already. I wonder how long they can keep up this pace before the number is too overwhelming. Is 80 too many? 150? I bet they can slow down at some point and still have plenty of champions for people to buy.
/shrug Alpha strike routinely hits for 1200 on an AP yi. And Yi is only one example. There are a lot of melee champs that become pretty much unkillable end game right now.
It’s not so much the damage output of melee champs, although on some of them it’s pretty high, it’s the survivability. Guess we’ll see what shakes out.

Yi is the most annoying late game melee character, partially because he can be immune to slows.

Probably just a rarity thing, I rarely see Olaf, but I see a lot of Yi players.
Peacedog, go to your audio config settings, and make sure that everything is set up right. It defaults to AISO and won’t auto recognize a headset etc, you have to set it up in 2 spots. Had this happen to me the other night and that fixed it.
p.s. The config settings in mumble itself, not windows etc.
p.s.s. Also make sure you are launching mumble, and not mumble (backwards compatible). For whatever reason that got me as well.

I had an embarrassing showing of Yi tonight, but I’ll get better. It’s hard to transition from placing and running away a ranged carry to a melee one. Generally, once the pile-on starts and I’m still in the middle, I’m a dead man.

I’m still not sure how to feel about the changes, awhile back it seemed like the meta was heavily in favor of beefy DPS (Xin, Olaf and Garen etc) and they nerfed them down and people started to catch on to how good Trist, Ashe, Corki were and now they’re just countering it by counter nerfing ranged.
I think the big problem is that Riot seems to be more reactive in their changes than anything else.

At mid Elo the meta game still seems to favor beefy DPS. Is it a different story at high Elo? I’ve never really played in a game organized enough to have a Janna babysitting a Tristana be OP.
