Thanks for the fun games tonight, even though it is without a doubt the worst I’ve played for a while lol. Pre made game is a whole different beast to solo q, that’s for sure.

Thanks a ton also Chiffy, or Cliffy as I apparently like to call him. Awesome advice, and I really appreciate the time.

What’s wrong with them? They aren’t exactly that poweful, and they arent that hard to see unless they are in a bush.

Trundle is 4800 IP. Lol.

Wait, the chalice wasn’t actually unique prior to this patch? Shit, I totally would have stacked two of them on some champs if I’d known that.

What’s another movement effect? I want to catch something! like, i have to charge into them or the path?

I feel like they went the wrong way with movement speed. I’d rather see them buff the movement speed for melee characters as opposed to reducing the speed for ranged characters. The game already felt too slow in the early stages before you get boots.

They don’t even need to do that. Virtually all the melee dps have abilities that let them instantly close the distance to their target, negating the whole kiting thing to begin with.

Drop them on popular ward locations for free gold. :)

I figure they’ll be nerfed because they’ve nerfed every other way to kill wards without oracles or a pink ward.

Holy failure patch! Is anyone else having problems with infinite loop sound related crashes since this patch?

I tried to post/look at the forums there, and they are borked as well.

Patch days is almost always like this.

Chiffy operates in LoL at a higher sphere of consciousness than the rest of us. I spent every death looking at what he was doing and I wasn’t sure what the “trick” was, so really I have to conclude that there is no trick. He knows exactly when he can win a fight and when he would lose one. It’s like his brain does an automatic calculation based on the other person’s items, what cooldowns they do or do not have up, and their health/mana/speed/positioning.

I don’t expect to ever get on that level with this game, but it’s fucking great to watch.

I just have to give some recognition to bluemax for sticking it out with me last night after our nasus left roughly 4 minutes into the game. We were hands down better than the 5 of them, but 40 mins in, there’s just one to many for us to handle. At least in DoTA you could control the champion that left and make him semi useful.

Wow, great idea, to turn a leaving player into at least a bot…

No. God no. Not a bot.

Yeah, a bot would be pretty terrible, but if our team of four could control the leaver’s champ while one of us is dead, we might have a sliver more of a chance than just a straight up 4v5. Then again, I have no idea how workable something like that is.

Well, no luck still. What’s weird is I can get it seems to recognize sound input during config, but still doesn’t work in channel. I’m going to post about it in the hardware forum.

What if they made a solo queue for people who want to join the leaver slot if the leaver hasn’t reconnected after a given time period? With some sort of big bonus to this person, 5 times XP/IP or something.

Seriously that game was annoying as hell.

To recap: Sivir DC’s at the start, we have a jungler and the other team has one as well so its 1/1/1 in our lanes to start vs 1/1/2 for them. I’m playing mid and largely controlling it against Ez (I fell behind on CS for a little bit while trying to set up a gank with Shaco). After about 5 or 6 minutes Sivir reconnects and joins Nasus in bottom lane. Now I don’t know what happened exactly, but a few moments later Nasus dies and promptly rage quits. What sucks is in the next few minutes after we get something like 4 kills. Pretty soon we were snow balling kills and took a huuuge lead on kills. The problem is that because we were so squishy (and the other team had two teleports) we couldnt really push after any wins.

I think we peaked at like 23 or so kill advantage, but we almost never managed to push. We actually got two of their inhibitor towers done at one point but never managed to take down more than one inhibitor. We also got Baron more as well.

If we had had one more champion, preferably something with a little CC we would’ve steam rolled. Alas.

Valve is planning on something like this for DOTA2.

So I’m playing Vlad (who is still ridiculous) on my way to a nice perfect game with no deaths. We are in their base, destroyed an inhib, I’m low on health and stacked with AP and here comes Veigar. So I start running for it, and I’m going to get away, it’s clear, he’s not going to catch me. When along comes our Trist and ults him right at me, boom he ults, I go down. Finish the game with 1 death, thanks Trist!

I love tristanas that do that, i can’t count the times that im trying run away and i know i won’t make it when here comes the other team tristana and ults me outside of danger.
