Game before Chiffy I went something like 13/2/5, game with Chiffy, 1/3/9-ish. The guy can kill (stealing bastard! Kidding)!
Enjoyed tonights games. I really love playing Morde, got a couple of double-kills in my 2v1 lane which made me feel very good! I can’t help but feel he is due some more nerfs if I can do so well with him, hehe. Still, he has no control powers and, to a degree, can be ignored late game.
I should probably learn to get good with a similar tanky hero as I do enjoy them - just most need to hit stuff with their weapons, whereas Morde just puts everyone nearby in a blender and sucks up the purée, something I find rather more pleasant than trying to melee last hit.
Thanks for letting me tag along again last night, I always learn a lot and it was a blast. Other than bunny feeding, they were pretty good games…ok, jk.

Have they fixed his ult yet? I was getting really frustrated a couple weeks ago trying to finish people off with an ult that was doing literally no damage.
Who was it last night that mentioned being in a game where his team raged against “kill stealing”? I had that happen to me. We had a ryze who spoke about him self in the fourth person and was all like “rize is obviously the uber carry here so feed me”. Fine, wahtever.
Anyway, I was playing as Sion and we were chasing Blitz. I had stunned him and Ryze did something to Blitz, but then Blitz sped away on ghost I think, low on health. Well, I was sort of chasing but obviously not going to catch up (I ghosted to the fight, which was Ryze and someone else vs Blitz and someone else, person B on the other team was already dead)), when Blitz stops and harpoons me. I have no idea why he did it; he was very low health. Anyway, I get deposited next to blitz and before I can do anything after stun recovery I auto attack and it finishes him (why he still wasn’t running I don’t know; there was zero chance he could kill me). Our Ryze went ballistic. “I’m stacking you fucking n00b don’t kill steal”. The third player on our team is agreeing with him. I point out I got grappled over there and they’re saying I am making that up. That was a curious experience.
You obviously stole that kill on purpose and you are in denial.
It’s best to simply move on and be happy with what you have done. These folks will never be happy unless they are the lead in kills and least in deaths, anything stopping that is everyone’s fault but their own. If only there was a filter for chat that could remove everything but “help here” and “push this”

That I can agree on, I got stuck with some guy in a lane versus Jax and Iliana, we manage to die once each versus them, and he non-stops whines about how its ‘GG’ and that that particular paring of characters is unstoppable.
The guy ended up contributing half of the deaths of our entire team, and whined with every death, when they are all his own fault.

I kinda noticed this too. The damage is apparent in the 6-10 game but I literally see no health bar movement after that.
The ghost is nice and all, but it really doesn’t make or break a team fight. It… doesn’t really do much of anything with its ridiculously slow speed, actually, other than tank a tower that has no creeps to shoot at.
If you manage to ghost a carry it’s ridiculous. I got an ace one game before because I ghosted a Tyrndamere and then he went and killed the rest of them :)

ghost is only good on carries, if you get a range carry it basically just turn the table right there.

I’m arguing that it doesn’t turn the table, because you just killed the only carry that has a ghost worth anything, so what does it matter? It’s not a common enough situation to make it useful. What’s even more common is that the ult does so little damage in the first place that the carry has already gotten away from the fight and doesn’t die.
That’s why you stack it with ignite. And it’s incredibly common, as there is no reason as Morde you shouldn’t be dropping your Ghost on anyone BUT their carry.

Sure, but it shouldn’t depend on ignite either. And again, the carry dying is situational when compared to how useful nearly every other ult in the game is.

Even with ignite you’ll be lucky to kill them. The last time I played him I ult/ignited fucking Lux at ~10% 3 or 4 times (laning phase) and she didn’t die, so I really don’t see how you can count on it to kill anyone by itself. Before the patch this was a kill 100% of the time.

she can shield her self. also without magic penetration your ult is fairly low damage.
since you are low level don’t have any runes yet, you won’t have the +19 magic pen from your runes to help you out.

Who doesn’t have mpen on Mord? Or ignite for that matter? She didn’t shield herself because she was totally OOM running away. My ult and ignite ran their course and she did not die.
Yeah, the ult has been heavily nurfed and really is only there to provide the ghost, not the damage, it seems. That being said, the ghost can still be great and dropping your metal shield on the ghost while ghost tanks the tower and the bad guys can set up a nice tower-diving kill for Morde, or just make you giggle.
