So just had a good game as Vlad. Laned against a Leblanc, which I’ve had trouble with before with Vlad in mid. So I go my normal build and get a Soul Stealer early, the Leblanc immediately starts talking all kinds of shit, saying I have a terrible build, I’m going to be useless late game etc. Well here were the results, you be the judge.
That was funny, he talked so much crap. I was Irelia, it was nice to get a win again.
I was in a game with an Irelia - on our team - who ran his mouth - mostly at us. He kept insisting he was “The Carry”, as if that was some sort of official designation indicating he was The One True Carry (I was Sivir and there was a Heimer mid). He cussed other people’s character choices. He cussed the littlest actions other people did or did not take. He ran his mouth at the other team.
He got 3 kills early, laning with Malph (boy did he insist on that; I can’t recall who I laned with now; heimer was mid). Actually, entirely because of Malph. Though he died twice in that time (and later tried to claim he only died when he started coming to other lanes to “play with us n00bs”). I think he finished 7/15/10. He kept saying he was the only one doing anything and that his deaths didn’t matter. We kept trying to point out otherwise. Several of his kills came when he arrived late to altercations and got a last hit in using Irelia’s little flash attack ability. Our Heimer was pretty good but also a douche bag, but had a few redeeming features (mostly in how he made fun of the Irelia).
That still wasn’t as awesome as the game where the Morde and Akali on my team both had hissy fits arguing over who should go mid and then basically 2v1’d mid (and didn’t do it well), arguing with each other the entire time. I 1v2’d top with Sion against two not great players and actually did really well. I had my tower down to half way before they started being on the mid tower.
An unrelated question: should I really my remaining IP (I have about 4900) on two health quints for Nunu play? One guide I read suggested an ArmorPen/Armor/CDR + Health quints rune buildout. I already had the armor pen and I picked up the yellow armor runes (they’re cheap). I can’t afford the flat CDR runes if I get 2 health quints though (800 a pop for the tier 3 blue CDR runes). I had some rockiness in my jungling yesterday (2 games of qt3 versus pubbies). Did better in game 2 but still adjusting.
For a non jungle nunu should I be considering a different setup?
Nunu runes should be the exact same for jungling and for laning. But I definitely wouldn’t get Armor Pen, MPen all the way. Armor yellows are probably a bit unnecessary aswell (mana regen or dodge would be better). Flat CDR are the king of blues though and Health Quints will be good on any character.
I’ve started to see some good Trundles, still haven’t quite figured him out myself though.
Hmmm, I’ve seen suggestions for sivir to use dodge (and go ninja tabi; I think she can get like 47% dodge on the move at level 16), so I’ll have to make a “tanky rune out” my priority. Nunu is fun, though I’m still very clumsy with him.

I still think Irelia is probably gimped. Looking at those stats, Akali seems to have done so much better and both champs have similar roles.
I need to pick up a character with a dash/jump as I don’t have any of those. Of the following 3150 heroes who would you go with, Akali, Xin, or Pantheon?

Pantheon is about to get nerfed pretty hard, so Akali or Xin.

Why kill creeps when you can kill champs instead?
In my experience Akali doesn’t really shine as an assassin until she gets her ult, which leaves at least levels 1-6 to harass and last hit. Unless you’re laning with a farm heavy champ like Morgana, Morde or Nasus you should be able to get more creep kills than that Akali managed within that stage of the game.
I think your wrong, I have gone 20-9 14-5 so it just depends on the game. I suck at akali anyway lol. but she is not gimped at all. I have had more then a few triple kills.
They need to smack Endless Rage to!!!
By the way who cares what champ is better? Play what you like unless your doing it in Ranked.

He may have been jungling. I wasn’t in this game, but I know he was jungling in earlier games that night. Assuming it’s who I think it is.
Picked up Malphite today and played around in a practice game. I’m really liking how versatile he is - interesting character.
Couple of questions though. I’m not lvl30 yet and don’t have the IP to start buying a ton of runes for him - am I pretty much not going to be able to jungle with him? I tried and failzored. Should I just jungle from lvl2 on?
I haven’t seen any guides I’m particularly enamoured with, does anyone have any recommendations or wish to chuck out some recommended builds? Frozen heart makes sense (synchs with his powers nicely), magic resist as required, magic penetration, warmogs… that about right?
