Just played a ranked game of Kat, Karth, Trynd, Mundo, and Trist (Me, and first pick so don’t blame me) against Nasus, Shen, Ashe, Udyr, and Ryze. Completely squishy team except Mundo, minimal crowd control, no real initiation, and no jungler against a relatively balanced team. I was so close to queue dodging but decided to stick with it. And we completely dominated them. I spent the whole game farming mostly unharrassed and Karthus, Mundo, and Kat went around killing everyone. I guess it was just a case of player skill mattering far more than characters chosen.

Advice for dealing with vlad, please. As Trist, say.

Stay away. Jump away.

Use the spell that lowers healing often, I’d imagine. Then use your slightly longer range to harass. Lots of clicking :D

I don’t find vlad significantly different to lane against as Trist than Kassadin, Annie, or any other caster. Start off defensive and focus on last hitting. Unless he sucks, you probably won’t be able to make a dent in his life until you get some range and levels on your explosive shot around level 5 or so. If he starts coming towards you, walk away. If he casts life steal on a minion, fire an explosive shot at him immediately after and try to get a few shots in while life steal’s on cooldown. Save rocket jump for if he tries to pool dive you. Just accept that you aren’t going to kill him early on and later you’ll probably need a gank to get it done.

As soon as he pools become really aggressive. He can’t do fuck all until level 7 or 8 when he gets lvl 4 Q and the CD gets low. So hit him hard and hit him early.

I pretty much don’t pool until level 6 with Vlad except to escape a gank.

Exactly, which is why I gave that piece of advice. If one does pool, just go kill him.

That was part of the problem. He went boots, so he basically got to dictate the terms of engagement. He also had teleport and went back fairly early for boots3, which made it even more annoying.

Then respond by buying boots. Though a Vlad that has set himself up to harass very early game in mid lane is going to be hard to counter regardless unless you set yourself up the same way.

Anyone could have. But we wanted to fuck with Bunny, obviously.

What exactly is your point?

I did. It didn’t help. Partly due to the ranged dps movespeed nerf.

Their was a point to all of this?

Are game replays auto saved? My game last night had a very quick leveling Malphite jungler, who quickly grew to be monstrously unstoppable, would be nice to see how he did it.

Replays? In League of Legends? You jest, sir.

Juggling. Hmm. I haven’t seen an awesome bungler in ages (oh, I love you iPhone spell check!). What I have seen is me, in the 2v1 lane soak up a level or two more experience than the jungles - perhaps that is fine as you get two people with solo-lane experience instead of one, bit I thought the bungler was meant to keep up?

Also, I too would love to see a great Malphite bungler - it is something I feel I should learn. Heaven knows there are enough carries in pub games and while I love Morde he isn’t an initiator - which is often required.

Why would you jungle with someone who has such a strong lane presence? It’s such a waste.

I can’t fucking stand the fucking pubbies in this game. Last night I’m the only one that had any tanking character (Cho’gath), I was laning with an Akali against a Kennen/Shen combo. They were wrecking us as we got ganked twice, and harassed me enough to make Cho’s passive useless. Our Evelynn thinks he’s some hot shot because he can walk around stealthed, and keeps blaming me for missing a rupture as he opens his attack too early for me to even react. Eventually, I get blamed for having 2k health at level 10 while everyone else is level 14 or so, and then the piece of dogshit Eve yells at me for using feast on a minion. LOLWUT?

Our Kayle toots her own horn for having something like 10/12/4 while she chased people down, blowing all her cooldowns only on herself, just to get kills where she would eventually die anyways.

Fuck the people that play this game, seriously. Everyone is always thinking individually, masturbating over K/D ratios when they have no fucking clue what it means to stay alive, or take a tower, or defend a tower. They don’t understand how this is a game not only about resources where taking something means denying something else, but where denying something is taking something, whether it be a buff, experience, gold, or time.

This is what happens when you play with 30s and then move back down to your own level.

My personal favorite is in a 4vs5, the team of 5 has two players in one lane rage quit after dying repeatedly to two range DPS (MF and i forget the other). So it became a 3vs4, and I had to go down and solo that lane they quit, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why they were dying to those jokers, I was Nunu and destroying them and we were all the same level. Still ended up winning that game, despite being a man down.
