If you are going to spend money on this game I’d advise picking up the character bundle in the store. You’ll get a hell of a lot more for your money then simply buying riot points and buying a few here and there.

Also all the 450 champions are solid picks (except Master Yi) and grabbing them once you have the IP is something I advise any new player to do since they are basically free (you gain 450 IP in about 6 games, 4 if you win all of them).

master yi is great at backdooring and running away.

Which can win a game, if that team has decided to play like a bunch of bitches.

Roku carrying as Veigar last night:

It’s a fun replay. He also has a replay from last week with a 1000+ AP veigar.

I want to love veigar but the last hit stress drives me nuts!

The last hit stress isn’t much worse than any other ranged carry. I guess it just lasts a little longer.

This system for weeding jerks out of LoL actually sounds pretty reasonably. I like player-based justice, even though there are some obvious problems that come along with it. Since the decision to punish or pardon players is made by committee rather than indivisuals, and no one can control which cases they look at, it may be hard to abuse.

Hope it works out!

Why won’t most people just vote every case guilty?

Well, I may be foolishly optimistic here, but hopefully general decency would keep most people from voting every case guilty. The people who do vote every case guilty won’t get an IP boost when they go against the majority, and more importantly their level 30 accounts are on the line. It would be pretty easy to keep metrics that track people who vote without taking any time to consider, are consistently negative or just very often on the wrong side. They’ll have to do something just to counter the macro bots farming IP for sure.

I don’t recommend veigar. Not only do you have to worry about last hitting as with all heroes, but you have to worry about last hitting with your Q ALL game. You never stop farming AP. It is annoying :P

I don’t mind tedious micro, after all I enjoy LoL (badoom tish!) :) I’ll give him a shot too, but I’ll start with the hero pick and make random selections for a few weeks. Since I’m such a noob anyway that won’t ruin team balance right?

Their justice thingy sounds grounded in game theory - that is - you’re only rewarded if you go with the majority opinion - so you have to review each case carefully and think either “how would everyone else vote?”, which is hard, or simply “is this a legit complaint or not?”, which if they give you enough of the facts surrounding the complaints, is easier. It’s a fun idea and will keep me busy when waiting for solid chunks of game time. The only question is will this inflate IP values?

Silly ARAM games prove that fed Udyr can 1v5 the enemy team! Also, Revive+boots+Trinity Force+Bear stance = OVER 1000 MOVEMENT SPEED! MY HAIR IS BLOWING IN THE WIND!

Of course I paid for that in karma when next game the random enemy team was Morgana, Amumu, Kat, Blitz, and Nidalee. AoE hell + heal = SADNESS!

It’s not that bad. Just don’t use his Dark Matter nuke unless it’s to land a killing blow on a champion. I see people farm with it and it drives me nuts.

Had a lot of fun with Nasus tonight. I discovered the awsomeness of his ult and how hard it is to actually last hit things in the early game. My damage isn’t high enough!!!

I also played Garen again tonight after weeks of not touching it and noticed how op he still is.

I played (as Teemo) this morning and laned with a Mundo. He was a first timer (he admitted it). I think 1 out of every 4 cleaver throws was actually aimed at the enemy champions in lane. If that. I asked him why he wasn’t poking them more, and he said “dude, I need gold”.

the one time he concentratedly harassed an opponent, we killed twitch. I did a fair amount of harassment and Twitch and Garen were frequently at 50% or below. But I couldn’t get him to poke more.

Also, another game where I had a shitty vlad on my team. I never get to play with a good vlad.

Nasus is more than a bit under-powered at the moment. Not because he’s bad, just because of power-creep. I mean, I’ll still play him if it’s what we need (and Pharoah Nasus is one of Riot’s better skins).

Quick note- most people play him wrong. His defining skill is not his Q, the additive/stacking thing, but his R and arguably his W. His entire role is disruption of team-fights and carry-hunting+.

Most people play him as if his Q is his defining skill, and over a hundred games as him have taught me that while it’s good damage and a good skill, it doesn’t define the way he should be played. Rather like Kayle- her abilities make her look like a support, but her defining skill is really her passive. Her passive is a damage boost for magic and attacks, making her a carry (meaning her E and ult are her defining active abilities).

I love the look of Renekhton. He looks like a ‘classic’ LoL hero (closer to DotA heroes) and that’s got to be one of the best models Riot have put out to date.

+Which is also a great role for Sion. Max E first, buy Banshee’s, Atma’s, Red Pot, Boots and tank items to standard and then spank their carry for around 300 damage a hit (also stolen!). If you get focused, you’ve bought your team time. If you don’t, dead carry. As long as their target acquisition is correct, which it never is.

When I see good Nasuses, it seems like they are using E early (well, after a few levels) and always come out towards the top in farm scores. I have difficulty harassing as well, especially once they hit 6 (it didn’t help that the last game I had to play against Nid and Nasus in lane. Impossible to harass, sigh).

Well, yeah. Nasus is still a good pusher and has one of the best laning presences. I’ve won mid versus an old Ez as Nasus before partially because I could pull entire creep waves out from underneath him and he was bad at last-hitting under the tower. Which is solely down to Spirit Fire.

Outside of that he can be a bit lack-lustre, and doesn’t work well in the EU gank-heavy game.
