Lux is so OP in ARAM. 1000+ damage nuke with ~30 second cool down (Ionian boots + Janna w/SS) is too pro.
Also I love playing Kat, I wish she wasn’t so easy to disrupt because when I’m on with her I just have a ton of fun.

We also had how many shields that game with Udyr? I was Janna, and Lux has a shield too right? And I think we had Urgot on our team, sadly he can’t give his shield to others.
So I’d often cast my shield on Udyr or Kat (whoever was low and being targeted, I think Lux would do the same) Was funny hearing all the cries of “Why won’t he die?!?”
RE: Nasus. Yeah, his Q is one of those, yeah, great, if the game goes on really long and you have the time to sit and farm somewhere, oh boy, you do decent damage. But that’s not really what he’s about, his W and E are more useful for team fights, as is his Ult. I’d rather contribute to team fights than sit around trying to farm the Q up to any type of respectable level.
PS the player council thing sounds…I don’t know, easily abused? How do we know the council members aren’t jerks themselves? If a good make up of the players are jerks, and the council is made up of players…
Everyone lvl 30 will be on the council.
Which means a good makeup of the council are jerks.
On average, yes. But you can’t vote as a jerk unless you are certain everyone else is also going to vote as a jerk or you won’t get any IP.

Some Nasus decides he’s gonna use a normal game to try some stupid ass build and feeds the team, and then just goes and gets ganked out of spite after we tell him to stop dying. He then argues that I should play a ranked game if I want “serious” play, as if normal games are where you test out horse shit builds.
Play solo and get fucked with idiot players. Play arranged and get fucked with a 5v5 versus high ELOs since Riot thinks I’d rather play within 30 seconds and lose for 25 minutes than wait a couple minutes for an actual fair competitive matchup.

He sort of has a point, people should be able to have fun testing out new characters and builds somewhere, and they shouldn’t be doing it in the ranked queue, and the custom game menu isn’t likely to yield any help. Intentionally feeding is lame though.
I honestly wished they ranked you not just based upon your own rank, but rank you separately depending on what map and what character you are playing.
(so main influence for matchmaking is your overall rank, but its influenced by how good you are with a character, and whether you’ve played the map alot)
As it is, its kind of a pain to start playing a new character after a certain level, as doing a custom game against AI bots is only going to get you so far.
Not everyone has easy access to 10 people to do make a custom game with live people to test out builds.

I use normal solo queue to fuck around and test random builds out as well.
With all the potential lopsidedness that blind pick brings I stopped taking those games seriously as soon as draft mode came out. I’ve played enough of this game to know that team composition wins (assuming ~equal skill level).
Not that ranked fixes this problem, but that’s more the fault of people not knowing how to properly counter pick than anything else.

The issue wasn’t so much his experimentation, the issue is that he thought he could go AD nasus and go toe to toe with people just straightup auto attacking. It was bullshit. He basically was trolling our team with his gameplay.
Also… help me hivemind, I’m having some trouble recognizing when to use my TF ult. I think I just need to realize when I can win a 1v1 fight and when I should try to bother with it.
I always find plenty of “try new character here” custom games. One could play a couple and learn if AD Nasus worked at least!
Usually started by people who think they can play their main and pwn ;)

But, sooner or later you’re going to need a real trial by fire, a random custom game with ranks and skill unknown isn’t exactly that much greater of a test than the AI.
and besides, losing a normal game will just make the next game that much easier… it really all balances in the end so just relax and have fun.

That’s actually not true =) Look at the low elo hell people have been talking about. People who lose alot are teamed with other people who lose alot and play against others who lose alot…which tends to result in games being complete crapshoots, as the losers’ bracket is full of idiots. People who don’t understand team comp, for example, or just bad team players. Its kind of random luck if you get a team that isn’t terribad enough that you can turn it around and win.
Josh: sure, but in the cited example I think the guy could have trialed his unconventional build a little!
Also, Ultrazen! We have not played together in a few days! I miss the special way you touch me!
AD Nasus is the right Nasus. You auto attack, using his Q of course. AP Nasus sucks.

The right answer is tanky AD Nasus. Nasus doesn’t quite have the skills or inherent strengths to be like Olaf, Warwick, Xin or other melee DPSers. The only time he tends to do a lots of damage is with his ult and people concentrating on him but not stunning him.

I couldn’t carry the team today with my mundo, they are too many madred and too many ignites…
cry…
MUNDO unable to go where he pleases…
P.S.
Dr MUNDO!!
I went looking for some Nasus guides and this seems to be recent and sane. Should I do what it says?
Yep, looks fine. Shen to TriForce and tank items is a pretty standard build for Nasus.
