I used to do AP blitz before manamune because arch angel’s staff was the only way to get a ton of mana for your mana shield passive. With manamune now, AD can hurt a bunch. I do armor pen runes + magic resist runes and movement quintessences.

With my runes/masteries, all I need is a banshee’s veil and I have around 150 magic resist. Banshee’s veil + manamune gives a lot of mana, which is similar to a taunt, because most people, if they see blitz at 500 health, you focus him, even though his mana shield gives him 1500 more ;)

One thing I didn’t like about the Veil is that it only brings me to around 100 MR (right now I am using, I think Armor Pen reds, mp/5 blues and yellows, and then 2 move speed quints and a health quint), so I need something else to help get me over the 150 mark. Maybe I’ll look into magic resist runes after I get my last move speed quint. But I don’t think I can ditch all of my mp/5 runes. I run 1 (improved exhaust)/17/12 masteries for the extra health, a little defense (and some dodge), and then the mana regen from the util tree (I’m actually still playing with the last point; right now it’s in the gold/10 mastery).

Poppy just doesn’t fit the current land scape anymore. Back when Ryze and Annie ruled the roost, having Poppy who could one shot them was super valuable.

We had an example of why Poppy is useful last night when idrisz, Pogo and I were playing with two pubs last night. Idrisz was playing Malzahar, Pogo was Morgana, and I was Cho’Gath, with an utterly retarded Yi and mildly retarded Kayle pubs.

Poppy ulted off Pogo, ran through the rest of us and two-shotted idrisz. Thankfully she only bothered to do that once or twice which sort of balanced out our Yi and Kayle dying constantly trying to 1v5 the enemy.

how many time did I just 1 shot poppy with my ult… hmmmm quite a lot. That game would have easily won if it was actually 5vs5 instead 3vs5 since our kayle and yi is never around. if Kayle actually use the stupid ult properly, we would easily comes out on top.

Yeah if he ults before the team fight starts, but what karthus would do that when you can do it when the fight is about to finish getting all the kills for himself.

Also all the team was trying to get us low health from the start of the laning phase just to get Karthus to ult us and feed him.

And you hung around in lane because?

Every game is different, you simply have to change up your play-style based on your opponents team make up. Also on your Karthus observation, reserving your Ult in a teamfight to try and KS is usually the mark of a horrendous Karthus player. You either Ult before the fight to get the other team lower for free or you use it when you inevitably die mid fight (Karthus needs to be in the middle of a fight which usually doesn’t bode well for a squishy caster carry, he can get away with it thanks to his passive though).

Somehow I feel like Trynd’s ult, which is essentially the same thing on a shorter timespan, is more overpowered than Karthus dying. When Karthus dies, the whole teamfight just shifts over 15 feet. When Trynd’s ult is up, it’s probably because two of your carries just got fucking murdered.

If someone is behind your turret poking you, you just go fucking kill them.

If you know you’re fucked just start recalling home anyway, when they towerdive to cancel it, just blow all your shit on the weakest target and hope you get a kill.

Yes but the time it takes for them to get around to that point should be more then enough for you to simply walk back to the other turret…

If you don’t do that then yes they might stop your blue pill. They will also die immediately to your jungle.

If they dive you from behind, sometimes you can play ring around the rosie if they are melee using the tower :)
