my 2nd leaves, it sucks…

You won’t believe it - but that game your internet died in. The one we started really badly on. We came within a gnats whisker of winning on a 4 v 5 :) Was gutting

Sneak Peak of the next champ. Looks pretty good. Though I have no doubt they’ll have a bikini clad skin for her pretty quick.

That champion is clearly broken. Her boobs aren’t d cups.

Cass, Caitlyn, Karma

They really need to fire the fucking creative director working there.

I was actually thinking fans as a weapon they hadn’t done yet. I hope she’s a tank.

Also, solo queue tends to treat elementz’ tier list as gospel but sivir has been near the top for a while and most people I come across there still think she’s worthless. I don’t get it.

Sivir is ridiculous.

The funny part is that elementz tier list isn’t supposed to be for solo queue.

he made one for solo queue that’s differ from 5vs5…

She takes some skill to use, I don’t think newer players grasp how good the spell shield is, especially since it requires decent timing to really pull off. Which is really dependent on knowing the other champions and also, on not being too lagged.

Tryndamere has similar issues, if Tryn is lagging, he’s pretty much doomed.

I played Sivir for the first time in ages recently. Last time I played her before that I had to mid against another sivir who was pretty good. Most boring game ever:

Me: Q!
Evil Sivir: Spell Shield
Evil Sivir: Q!
Me: Spell Shield

It reminded me of a certain clerical battle in OOTS.

I out farmed him, but my team sucked and we lost. His only mistake, IMO, was putting multiple points into riccochet early. Sivir’s Q once you get it to a nice level can virtually farm a whole wave (especially with manamune). Even at 3 points it can ensure a 4 creep kill wave if you are being lazy. Since it also hurts other people, lots, you just don’t need much riccochet early on.

Shows how recently I checked the forums.

it’s not on the forum, it’s on his own site, he doesn’t link tier on the forum thread anymore.

Ah well, whatever. Tier lists aren’t completely bad but team comp is more important than the tier worthiness of champs.

Lots of experienced players seem to say that you can do everything right in a LoL game, and still lose, just as a poker player can play a hand perfectly and still lose.

In other news, I just had a pub game where we had no tank but we won anyways. They had Alistar, but our Panth got fed midlane so the midgame ganks were always in our favor. And I finally got to play Akali against a dual melee lane and immediately ripped shit up after getting Sheen/ult.

That’s one of the downsides of DotA games. In FPS games, one dude who is just phenomenal can take down players and make for a complete upset, hell it even happens in tournaments, my bro managed to 1v5 a round in an international Counter-Strike tourney. And that upset can happen at any time, even when the solo player is at 1 health.

In LoL, you’re doomed pretty early if others screw up, a couple early feeds can really snowball things, and its really hard to do a magic upset at the end, and impossible 1v5. But irritatingly, it can take a long time to reach that end state.

I think akali is my favorite character right now. Get a rylal’s and a sheen early enough and you just destroy squishies. Fall behind the power curve at all and you’re completely useless, though.

Yeah, I’d love it LoL games were more like 10-30 minute games, rather than the 30-60mins they take. It’s one thing I wished they ripped out of hte design when copying dota.

oh there are magic upset in lol alright…

Upsets happen, but rarely and its always really grim, and the 1v5 scenario never happens. The closest I’ve seen is a 3v5 that almost happened.

Unless we’re talking about people getting physically upset and rage-quitting, I see that all the time =)
