Every single jungle champion should gank as soon as they get red buff. There’s no reason not to at the very least try.

The reason a lot of low level/inexperienced jungles will only gank bot is because for the most part that’s both the easiest lane to get kills in and is beside Dragon and thus where the jungle spends most of their time. In fact for one of the sides the jungle really has to go out of their way to gank top (much easier for purple then blue).

You also have to understand the differences between junglers. Some need to be level 6 to even think about ganking (Akali for instance), some are weak jungles (that is not actually a bad jungler, but refers to the fact they spend most of their jungling time at low health). And some are extremely strong jungles who stay at pretty much full health for their whole route and thus can go in to gank/cover lanes at any point. Actually understanding the difference between each jungling character is one of the biggest thing <1300 lack (and saying that, theres still idiots at no matter what elo).

Wait, so… I should gank without red? But actually…

Guys, you just got

Also depends on route. Rammus jingling (thanks, iPhone!) will end up at about half - or a little over - health and level 4 and with the red buff at the end of his first jungle “run”. Whether that sets him up for a bottom or top gank is team dependent. Also, a lot of players aren’t thinking ahead and helping their jungler by keeping waves closer to their tower and the enemy somewhat poked and on the river side of creeps. Mid needs to think the same way and I have come to the opinion that if a jungler can help mid get a couple of kills before level 10 then the game is probably in the bag.

Also, depending which team you are on you have either three sets of jungle creeps or two at top lane, and this tends to result in junglers focusing on one side of mid or 'tother.

Mom I love juggling Rammus, he is so much fun. I recommend everyone give jingling a go!

bunny you don’t gank before 6 even if you have red. that’s the problem.

Yes I do, if I have red.

um… WTF?

Why does the word rammus make it through okay?

This should prove interesting - Riot going against the Bots on the 9th Feb

Because I spell Rammus with a capital - and I think I added it. Meanwhile, jingling is autocorrected without even the option to add it to the dictionary! Damn iPhone, will correct its own name but won’t let me talk about jingling!

Had to post this up to lolbase

Chiffy was frankly incredible - it was an honour to play with you.

Hah that was a fun game, for our team atleast.

Just had my first come from behind win. We were down 20 kills and they nearly broke through our turrets a few times. One person went after the bottom lane while they were fighting us, I was veigar and bought up as much AP items as I could, I think I ended the match at 380. At that point my ultimate was so strong against the other spell casters that I could kill them at half health with it.

It also didn’t hurt that they kept on falling for that aoe attack that he does and the stun. I just wished that my teammates knew to attack when they were stunned.

That smurf game last night kinda pissed me off. I understand that we were smurfing too (me and Lazy, anyways), but I wouldn’t buy my best champ (Cho) on my smurf account and play him just to get an easy win. That’s why I played Shen and I don’t plan on using the smurf account for anything but “practicing” with champs that I don’t play regularly.

One thing that some people still aren’t doing is pressing TAB at about level 6-8 to see what offensive items the other team is building. Knowing if the other team’s TF or Teemo are going AD or AP is very vital information. Someone Ninja Tabi and I had to tell him to switch because the other team’s TF and Teemo were both AP and had very weak auto attacks.

And Idris, FFS at least help us convince Korbaan that he can play a meaner Karthus. He can mid lane just fine but his mid-late game survivability is nil if he keeps charging in at the worst times. Admittedly, last night we had no real initiators or CC (Sion’s stun is too short range to count IMO).

Korbaan plays Karthus with the literal intention of dieing at the beginning of every team fight. It’s so ridiculous.

It could be that he is new and hasn’t learnt the art of placement? I still haven’t got it right.

He’s actually a pretty solid Karthus.

Yeah my fault sorry, but i did notice i had it harder later on since i couldn’t stun them anymore with the lower dodge chance.

Jax is the only champion on which you should get ninja tabi pretty much regardless. It’s the ONLY way to get dodge chance in the game right now (a factor which has reduced Jax’s usefulness yet again).

Also has anyone seen Tom on? I sent him a PM a while back but it seems he’s disappeared off the face of the Earth.

I’m not gonna lie I got fucking fed up with him last night. The dude hasn’t played the game in 6 months and then acts like he knows more about what is going on than the rest of us who have been playing daily.

I’m not taking advice from someone who thinks that rushing in with a squishy caster and getting focused down in 2 seconds so that he can do damage for a whopping 8 more seconds is useful and smart.

He is solid, but the longer a game goes the less useful he gets because he dies so damn fast with his play style. Also because he only plays Karthus we have to build our team around Karthus every time we play with him. If we don’t pick heroes that compliment Karthus than we are fucked every time.

You know what man, my bad. I completely forgot that you want that Jax dodging for the stuns.

I kinda gotta agree with this. I understand when people get defensive about playing their favorite champ (queue Idris/Korbaan telling me to turn around to hit a Kayle/Akali for 2 hits = 120 damage before MR when I was inevitably going to die (as Cho) and therefore the best solution was to keep running and waste their time). But as I was leveling up and learning Cho better, lots of people had great suggestions on playing him that I incorporated and got much better as a result.

So a Karthus getting WTFPWNED by an Akali or anyone else right off the bat is going to last several seconds longer with even a minimum of MR (like a Abyssal Scepter which is IMO the top MR choice for any AP caster). That’s 87 MR, or 46% damage reduction, turning a 1200 damage fed Akali burst into a little over 600 points of damage.
