Calistas = Tinypirate :)
Yeah, I love jungle Rammus, it’s the only way to play him (or I suck in lane with him - too many variables to control for). Throw some boots of mobility on him and he is loltastic. In a later game were were wtfpwning the other, pub team so bad I took phantom dancer and zeal and the speed was lulz.

Since we have all these new people joining I’m going to be cheeky and say if you sign up, why not sign up on my referral link! It gives me a minor boost and if you ever visit New Zealand, I’ll buy you a beer!
See, here’s my problem with LoL…the only time I ever play this game, is when I’m fairly drunk. As a side note, I pretty much suck at LoL, or any other skill based game when I’m fairly drunk…but…it’s “fun”. The rare times when I’m sober, I tend to not play so badly. I think the Tiny Pirate has witnessed a few of those games when I wasn’t 100% in the bag, but those are rare.
All that being said, even in my usually drunken condition, I’ve learned a lot from playing against the usual suspects. When I go into single q games, even if I am soused, I usually still end up owning them. I’m not sure if the QT3 regs know just how good they are in the grand scheme of things. I’ve spent quite a bit of time watching high elo matches (usually when I’m sober), and I have to say, that the level of gameplay that usually takes place in QT3 matches is pretty high.
McKnight, I still love you, even though you’re kind of an asshole, and I mean that in the best way possible, but you don’t pull punches, and I like that in people. I’ve learned a lot, and will continue to learn until the day comes where I do nothing but play LoL sober, and do nothing but hunt you with some kind of bot program that finds you in solo Q.
Until that day comes, I’ll be drunker than you, which is difficult I know.
Ultrazen, just keep at it, man. No matter what, do not quit. I usually just drink craft beer, but red bull-vodka seems to work pretty well. It’s too bad they nerfed Four Loko, because Red bull is expensive… might switch to Irish Coffee.
As an Irishman, I don’t know how to be prouder of Ultrazen’s post right now :)
Also sorry if I’m too much of a dick sometimes, you usually catch the worst in me since I’ve either been up for way too long or just awake when I play with you Southern Hemisphere guys. Always fun though, don’t get me wrong.
Also for the record, you’ll never be drunker then me ;)
Arg, I keep losssingg and it’s driving me crazzzy. I can play as a tank ok (Rammus, Morde (yes, I know)) but I want to get good at Trist or Corki and I’m just not surviving the fights and I don’t seem to be putting out the deeps, no matter how well I’m fed. Arg! So frustrating.
Here’s an example: I was mid against Ken last game and although neither of us could kill the other I certainly could not kill Ken. If I tried, she would do her zoomy thing away while hurting me. On the other hand she tried hard to kill me, zooming in and laying on the burst. I usually had to rocket jump or buster shot to not get burst too hard. I am certain I could not have taken her down.
So what to do? Later on Ken owned our team by working through qwer. In that same time I have got a few shots off and dropped my E or Q and then I am trying to buster shot this fast moving canon ball Ken before dying (missclick? You’re dead!). I am wondering if I should try some more bursty heroes. Team fights are over before Trist has had a chance to pack a punch - at least when I play.
You’ve never once been too much of a dick, always just dick enough. As far as being drunker than me, I’ve got chunks of guys like you in my stool.
So is Warmogs Sivir really that viable now? I mean it was always a troll build for pubstomping but I’m recently seeing more and more good players pick it up.
I worry they are going to keep hitting Rammus until he is worthless.
Also not keen on nerfs to Spirit Visage.
I’m pretty happy about it, it was a ridiculously strong item before.

McKnight can be critical of people, but who isn’t? If anyone has seen me in L4D (Or LoL, even), I can get pretty frustrated or critical of people. Also, McKnight and I make a pretty good gank/pushing duo, so I always enjoy playing with him. Same goes for Idrisz, except when I jungle Alistar (Or solo lane Blitz) :P

Can’t wait for the Ryze buff, gonna rape faces with him again, I think.
Alas I’ve already made my account and have a good numberish of games under my belt =(

Won my first multiplayer 5on5. I tried Ashe, and Taric, but i think i liked Morgana the best of the characters i’ve played. Her ability to farm so effectively (at least at my low level) helps make up for some of her weaknesses because i can afford the nicer items, and i had at least 80 more creep kills than anyone else in the game. Still died too often to Ashe at first, but not bad first time out.

So, i understand “jungling” means you try to exclusively kill the passive monsters, but what benefit does that give you? It seems like you’re trading XP and Gold for the chance at getting a pretty nice, but not permenant, buff? Can you level and get enough gold to “jungle” exclusively?

Jungling means one of your lanes has only one player. That one gets experience faster and can farm more creeps.
The jungler gets his gold and experience from jungle creeps instead and a good jungler constantly keeps ganking (from lv 3 on). This makes the solo laner stronger, while the jungler always poses a threat to the enemy team if they push out.
Depending on character a jungler is about the same level as the double lane.
I don’t mind when you guys play lol while drunk, heck, I do that too sometimes. Post posting drunk? Come on guys, drink some black coffee before you press the submit button. Half of these posts make no sense.

I was thinking of how we could do more balanced 5v5 games while still letting people try new champs.
We could do a mirror match (we’ve done that before and it worked out well) of free week champions. In top or bot lane we have sort of a mirror configuration of champions. Like if the teams are Alistar, Annie, Gangplank, Xin, and Morde, we would have top be perhaps Xin+GP versus Alistar+Annie, while bot would be Alistar+Annie versus Xin+GP, and see which lane pushes harder (or perhaps two people learn a better harass/zone method against the other two champs so you actually have Al+Annie winning top, but Xin+GP winning bot). Then mid would go something else (in this terrible example, I’m implying Morde v Morde in mid, but whatever). Or the lanes could be switched up, whatever.
Or if we had a jungler character (Udyr is free right now I think), give it to two people who have never jungled before but sorta know the basics because of seeing junglers do their thing for the past 30 levels.
Just a thought, and a way to take the competitive pressure out of our games and the tendency for some people to pick well-practiced champs.
