It’s really not that big a deal, at least for them. 400G to pretty much completely neutralize one of the 5 opposing champions? Yea I’ll take that :)

Yes, Burst down the stupid mundo, before you go for the hard to catch squishies.

Team fight. enemy mundo in front, their squishy in the back, you rush past mundo to get to squishy, while mundo is happily dancing in your backline beating up your squishies.

Even if the fight end up in a trade off, you lose your dps carries and they also lost their dps carries, now your tank is end up facing mundo… who do you think is going to win?

It takes merely seconds to remove mundo from game when you actually have all 5 champions up, compare to almost impossible with 3 or less champions.

I forgot who I played with when we lost the game to a tanky olaf, almost entirely the same item build with mundo, everyone on the team is like DON’T focus olaf because he build tank, then yeah, we killed all their squishies except we all got murdered by olaf after every team fight. reason, we don’t have any burst left because we used it to kill their squishy!!!

But that’s the whole point of those characters, they clean up well but can’t do anything themselves. You can’t focus an Olaf because he has CC immunity, just like you can’t focus a Mundo because of his insane CC reduction.

I’m not implying you don’t hit them, that would be idiotic. I’m saying that you blow your important spells on their highest damage/squishiest targets. One person (the person an Olaf or a Mundo decides to plant their face infront of) can blow all their stuff on them, and should feel free to. And should also be able to say alive long enough (between escape skills and other factors) that the rest of their team has finished off what’s important.

Like I said before, I think Mundo is quite a good champion. He’s just not a high damage character.

Too many players, myself included, qwerdf on enemies who are guaranteed to die anyway, leaving them vulnerable to clean-up characters. Great teams know when to just let auto-attack do it’s job, saving a few abilities for wrapping up the fight.

Right, because that 400g is a one time expense, and totally effective for the remainder of the game.

McKnight, we are probably talking past each other here, because I’d never go an AP teemo in a ranked game (not good enough) and I’d never celebrate Oracle’s in a serious game.

However, in the fun, casual games that I tend to play, mocking the enemy for finally breaking down and buying oracles and inching forward slowly in deadly deadly fear of my shrooms- that’s LoL worthy.

What’s the best way of building teemo? i think im going to try him again.

I just thought I’d break up the Mundo slapfight for a second to point out that unless they changed it in the last patch Olaf’s ult CANNOT be used while stunned. Tryndamere and Alistar can use their ults while CC’d, but Olaf can’t. This might be valuable information should anyone else try to play Olaf.

AP and Malady!

Hmmm… I could have sworn you used to be able to use it to break CC, although you are most likely correct. Hell, I haven’t even played Olaf since he was released. But it’s the 6 second (or however many seconds) CC immunity that’s the important bit.

And imo Malady into Madrads + Frozen Mallet is the best way to play Teemo, grabbing a defensive item and maybe a Void Staff if the game goes on that long. You do really kinda slack off in the late game as your damage is primarily magic damage and Void Staff goes a long way to fixing that.

The only other way to play him is pure AP, which is incredibly fun, but in my opinion not viable in most team comps.

If you go AD you deserve to be shot.

regrowth pendant -> philosopher stone -> sorc boot -> Mejai -> Death Cap -> Rylai or Void(depends) -> Rylai or Void(which one you didn’t build) -> Lichbane -> pot up as much as possible. Malady is a waste of space, you never going to auto attack as teemo, most you going to get off is 1-2 shots plus a Q.

The trick with playing AP teemo is mushroom placement. if enemy team decided to go all banshee, you need to place 2 mushrooms close together, with about 2 steps apart, so they hit the first one which remove their veil, and then before they can laugh at you in all chat, they step in the 2nd one.

if you playing mid lane, it’s all about predicting where they will run or go. example is placing shroom in top and bottom bush of the mid lane.

---- OIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIO-----
#IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII#
#IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII#
#IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII#
0IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII0
#IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII#
#IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII#
#IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII #
----OIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII 0-----

that’s the basic placement for middle lane. O = shroom and # is the bush, - = river wall. Most people when they trip a shroom in the bush will either ignore it and go straight for you, or trying to run towards their towers. either way, they will hit an another shroom on the way to you or to their tower.

I usually place another shroom direct infront of the bush shroom, in case you were close to their tower, while you are retreating and they trying to adjust their course to intercept you, they will hit the one in the middle again.

Also some shroom you plant are not for stepping on but for small sight range, like shrooming their red or blue, you place shroom in location that you hope they won’t step on, but still give you sight into red or blue which can set up for some nice ganks. usually I take ghost and ignite(ignite wins you early lane fight). but there are a few games I took ghost and teleport. managed some nice ganks in middle when one of their squishy is pushing mid lane, I can teleport to a shroom literally right behind him and unload on him.

New Katarina skin is pretty badass.

I kinda think they should go back and redo the presentation graphics for the older skins, which feel very low-res and unprofessional. You can see the pixelated aliasing on things like stock Morgana and Cho’Gath.

This is in the works, a big graphical update (which was mentioned last November with screenshots) which I presume since it’s been delayed so long will most likely be coming in at the same time as the new map.

Thanks for the little guide, just played doing this and i owned the other team with shrooms :D

What im having trouble is knowing what to do with AP teemo in team fights, so i just run in an out blinding the carries and putting shrooms around them while they arent paying attention.

blinding carries, and drop shroom in middle of the team fight… auto attack if you can too, but you need to make sure to keep yourself safe.

once you have stack enough mejai everyone will go for you, which mean you can lure them into shrooms.

best thing to do is drop a shroom during teamfight, and then stand on top of it, most of the melee will either dash or run towards you, you can move back and they will hit the shroom and slow them to a crawl which makes easy escape for you. if you can drop shroom and hit 2-3 targets at same time, you basically just did a shit ton of damage to their team, since it’s like 1140 damage with 600 ap(easily achieved with 20 stack mejai).

try to drop shroom during chaos of team fight, and make it not obvious because while the shroom is visibly(brief 2 seconds pre activation) it’s actually vulnerable to aoe magic or physical damage.

AP Teemo’s poison autoattack actually does a lot of damage, so you can try spreading it all over the enemy team. Also I have heard that every time you autoattack someone it forces a new tick of his poison shot damage, so shooting someone repeatedly in the face will still ramp up your damage like any ranged carry type. (This is where Malady can be useful on Teemo.)

Just throwing this out there, but focusing the tank or off-tank, is going to lose you the game. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is bad.

Don’t treat it as a time sink - if you want to play then play if you want your own time then do that. It’s just difficult because of the lure of the game but no reason why you can’t reduce the playtime rather than leave :(

Yeah, it is just awkward because it is very fun for me to play, but at such inconvenient times since I live in Japan. What is a slow night for most of you is my Saturday or Sunday afternoon. By the time all of our games are finished, I haven’t done anything productive and it is 5pm or so, which is dark in Japan. I am really trying to be more social and study Japanese now.

I’ll try to play a game or two each weekend, but I have so many things on my plate right now, I will be busy. I have a job interview Saturday and another potential job coming up. Very exciting, but so stressful :)

The big time sink for me is waiting in the queue for 30 minutes just to get into the lobby, but then accidentally hitting cancel with just 5 minutes to go and then having to start the wait all over again, and then the countdown is counting up and the estimated wait time is getting longer and longer, and then I am about to get in and then the client crashes for no reason, and then I wait all over again and finally get into a game, and then I am about to win my first game after like a 10 game losing streak, and then mysteriously the client announces I have disconnected and asks do I want to reconnect?, to which I reply yes but it doesn’t matter because I never get back in, and then I go to read a book. Now that is a time sink. True story by the way.

Play with me and Calistas then copet, we’re a lot closer to your TZ :)
