Had an incredibly close random game earlier. They got our crown turrets and had the nexus on almost no health when the inhibitor respawned :) We then won the match :)

Had a temo go Vamp sceptre and heal/else as starting item/powers… wasn’t a good feeling there… Then he told us VS was “pro”. Then he built a PD, Bez boots before finally thinking about damage. As it was he went 4/0/4 before the enemy surrender at 25 minutes… he was actually good… but damn, weird choice of items etc.

Did we reach a conclusion on what tanks to practice with if Malph and Rammus are ban Ed every ranked game? Also, love having 25 or so AP. Started a game doing 20% of the Annivia’s health a double-up - although I was playing with chequers so probably not s high-level runed player. Also, does life steal proc off double-up? Might almost be worth getting vamp scepter if so… I love being that much closer to a Bloodthirster at low level.

Double up scales off AD, not AP though.

And yes, it procs on hit effects such as red buff and lifesteal (iirc anyway).

Played 3 games so far, lost 2 (one of which we were 4 v 5 due to someone not being around). I am crap, but so far no one has been rude, apart from an amazed wtf when I got killed by a minion…

Double-up works as two separate auto-attacks, so it does. Which seems oddly inconsistent as most other attacks like that are on-hit effects (Double Strike is too, I believe) and only proc on the first strike. I had to go and check that because I thought it was like every other attack of that kind but had a nagging feeling it wasn’t.
They had some problems with spells that count as auto-attacks a while ago, I seem to remember.

Welcome to low level hell :) If you can hook up with the guys that will help. Being killed by a minion isn’t the end of the world - you loose time but the enemy don’t get the gold or the xp :)

That’s why I put iirc, because I knew there were nuances that I’ve simply forgotten after not playing the champ for so long.

But you are right, the bounced shot (the increased damage part) won’t apply on hit effects. I’m also pretty sure I’m forgetting something else but like I said, haven’t played her in forever.

I love to see people who get ambushed and have no way of surviving running towards the enemy tower to get killed and deny xp/gold to the enemy. :D

The most fun I have is when they do ambush me and I’m at their base tower as Nidalee. You can just lead them on the longest chase ever, through their base, constantly healing and pouncing away. If you get ambushed from behind with no chance of escape, sometimes you can get away going through their base if you have a healing hero.

Other way around. The two hits count as two separate auto-attacks and as such proc on-hit effects that aren’t Sheen-based. You were initially right- I wasn’t sure but I went and confirmed it, which brought back to me that set of changes as to what’s a spell and what’s a “counts as auto attack” ability (Vorpal Spikes and Ace in the Hole were changed, for example) that I had completely forgotten.

Most attacks of that kind are on-hit effects and don’t proc on-hit effects (see: Double Strike, Ricochet) because they are on-hit effects or procing on-hit effects would make them too powerful.

Which is what I originally wrote but less garbled.

Sorry, I typed AP but meant to type ArPen.

I think it was Houngan who said some weird name for AP the other night.

Just got my first 4v5 win. That felt pretty great, especially since the other team’s Ashe actually bragged at one point when they took out our inhibitor. Like for real, you need to gloat with a one man advantage for 2/3 of the game? Of course, that just turned the sad mummy into an angry mummy and you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. 21/10/21, the game went on for so long that I didn’t even know what to buy after my Abyssal Scepter so I got a Rylai’s, GA and a Rod of Ages.

I really want to try jungle Amumu but I’m either not able to pull it off at 21 or I’m just missing something. Probably some health quints and armor glyphs might help? Or maybe there’s a safer way to start than by doing golem first.

NESL Tournament kicking off sometime soon. CLG vs LowElo is the first match. Solomid is up in the second match.

You need golem because you need to cry forever. You need runes because otherwise it’ll take far too long.

Actually Amumu is funny in that runes have practically no effect on the speed he jungles, you kill stuff just as fast runeless as with the perfect set up (or did anyway, Mpen is now kinda important since the MR changes).

However you do need the runes to simply not die, as you saw the other night ;)

The frustrating theme of the day was getting a 2v1 lane even though
I wouldn’t be the best guy on the team for it, having a hard time of it and then have the 2v2 and 1v1 lanes lose their towers before I’d lose my lane. Aggravating.

Is there a glossary somewhere? The jargon is new to me (not a WoW player)

Carry?
Gank? (to attemp to kill another player?)
Jungling? (presume this means hiding/ ambushing?)
Kite? (presume this means running away, and having someone follow/ focus on you while someone else ganks them?)

Help.

A carry is a character who becomes ridiculously good in late game. Generally they are bad in early game but this is not neccessary.

Gank is to attempt to kill by surprising another player, eg someone hides in the bushes and jumps on them when they walk past.

Jungling means running around the jungle (ie, not the lanes) killing the neutral creeps in there. The advantage of this is that the person you aren’t laning with gains experience faster, and you can set up ganks more easily since the enemy team is less aware of your position.

You got kite. It means keeping them following you but not killing you.
