I think tbh he just wants to remap the keys :) He is a hard core Hon player and I keep tempting him to Lol, everytime he hits the key mapping its a wtf moment :(
Em tals, no offense to your friend or anything but one of the primary menu options is Key Bindings. It’s kinda hard to miss, you can rebind everything using that aswell.
Non taken :) I suspect he wants to find excuses, but as soon as I get feedback i’ll let you know.
Three more games with chequers as Tiaplank. Two wins and one loss (Malz in mid died 5 times then demanded we all push mid or he’d go AFK… then we just died).
Got to three Tiamats in each game along with Wriggles and boots. It was pretty choice knocking 25% health off of a Kennen with doran’s shield and chainmail. LOLSPLASH! Only problem is that the games finished about then - some 40 minutes in - and I couldn’t farm further. I’m trying to get a solo lane though Plank doesn’t necessarily make for an awesome solo lane farmer (parley won’t cool down fast enough).
Anyway, was pretty mega lulz and I got in a few useful cannon shots too, I think. Runes and CDR boots set me at 30% cooldown, which was quite nice. I’m going to have to keep playing this build until I get the 4 or 5 Tiamats I crave!
It is in the ingame menu though. Some people might not realize that the launcher and game have different option screens.
That’s a fair point. I hadn’t even thought of that.
yep. I basically found that out yesterday because I was looking for the “follow the character” key, and the only reason I found THAT existed was by watching streams.
I can’t check this till tonight but apparently it doesn’t allow keys to be bound to the number pad. Need to test for the QWER keys in particular
Just tested there. You can bind every action to a numpad key (including self/smart cast) except QWER (normal spell casts 1-4). You can rebind QWER to any other keys you like on the keyboard, just not the numpad.
I have no idea why they decided to restrict only those from the numpad. It seems arbitrary and idiotic but then again this is Riot we are talking about.
Indeed, I just lost two ranked games, the first game we lost because we got outplayed but apparently that loss was forgiven. Played another one just now and 2 people dc’d, no loss forgiven.
I’m confused…
So, gameplay question:
I’m trying to learn Sion rather than jumping around the free champions, and there’s a particular problem I’m having. I’m using a general AP build to max damage and later to increase mana and mana regen, but I always seem to come up a bar short when I go against other champions. I.e. we’ll be on either side of creeps or a tower or something, I’ll start my shield charging, go in and stun, hit, blow the shield, hit, and they get away with fifty health or the equivalent.
Obviously I’m not waiting until the proper time, but beyond that is there any value in steering a bit more AD on the build so that I can get better finishes once my abilities are popped?
H.
Speaking of key bindings, is it possible to unbind the zoom in and zoom out on the mouse scroll wheel? My scroll wheel is a little too sensitive and I end up accidentally zooming in a lot, which makes me a sad mummy. I looked at the bindings menu but didn’t see it. Did I just miss it or is it not possible?
I don’t play Sion much but maybe get a sheen into a Lichbane? Should proc after the stun, not sure after the shield pop though.
It will proc from the shield pop but you need to space it 2 seconds from the stun proc because of the new sheen mechanics. Lichbane is also a core item on AP sion.
I had no idea summoner spells proc Sheen. Huh… Learn something new everyday :)
Oh lol, I was still on the sheen line of thinking. Reading back it’s now obvious you meant use it to finish off champions. Woops :)
Since the stun is 2 sec., would it go like this:
- Stun, wade in (procs now and 2 sec. CD on Sheen starts, um, cooling?)
- Whack with Sheen buff (or procs now?)
- When they start moving (2 sec from 1., maybe not 2 sec. from 2.) take one hit on shield, pop shield (proc sheen)
- Whack with Sheen buff
Yes? No?
H.
Yup.
The CD for sheen procs starts once you have hit someone with the original attack (afaik, it got changed a while back to make it simpler). So for instance, you stun and using that skill charges your sheen. You hit them with your sheen proc, wait two seconds and then blow up your shield which will charge your shield again.
