I think it’s called the ACE client right now? Not too sure, like I said I don’t use it and it’s probably changed a lot from when I knew more about it (I investigated it ages ago because it supported region switching on a single install but haven’t looked at it since) :)

Played 3 games last night as a lvl 8 Soraka, and won them all - though at these levels it is often pretty random. Found the main problem (and I guess a nice one to have) is deciding when to go back and buy - if I am doing my job, the champion I am supporting doesn’t die… Normally going soul stealer/ the boots that reduce nasty effects/ one of the armours or shields.

Whats a good cooldown reduction item that also gives added survivability? Soraka needs to not die, and be able to spam infuse/ heals I think

For summoner spells, going for heal (not dieing) and ignite. Ignite is a useful way of grabbing a couple of kills, otherwise I do v little damage (but silencing opposing mages is golden)

Glacial Shroud gives CDR, mana, and armor, and turns into Frozen Heart which projects an attack speed decrease aura. Consider that against a heavy AD team only, though.

Fiendish Codex > Morello’s Evil Tome is the go-to for cooldown reduction, mana regen, and ability power.

Spirit Visage is great with survivability, you’ll heal yourself for huge amounts and has some MR and +health, you’re pretty much unkillable with it.

And of course, Boots of Lucidity are pure CDR.

CDR has a cap of 40%, and it’s additive (15% from boots and another 15% from something else adds up to 30% CDR). It’s actually pretty easy to cap with items, masteries, and runes.

Thanks for the metagame tips, Pogo. I should probably have switched lanes with someone as soon as I saw Akali in mid. Damn, I would love to read more stuff like this!

Also, if you see a good recorded game - copy-paste the link in here? Love to see good players demo a character well.

Lulz so Pendragon made a thread where the first 5 people banned got their bans explained:

It’s pretty incredible to see the number of reports/game on some of these people.

With Akali able to close distance so quickly (and this applies to certain other characters as well, like Katarina perhaps), you want to adjust your positioning to be as safe as possible. In mid I would probably let her push a bit, ward the north river bush, and stick closer to that side. If she does dash in, you want to be able to make an escape to your tower ASAP. Use mana/skills to get a couple last hits in, or tank the melee/ranged creeps so that they’re just outside of your tower range, so that for her to attack you would require getting too close to the tower aggro. If you’re ranged, do most of the harass before she hits level 6 to make up for what happens when she gets her ult.

I’m kinda curious how many times I’ve been reported. It shouldn’t be much but I’m sure it’s happened.

I’ve definitely been reported for verbal harassment/trolling a game, but I’ve never went AFK, fed the team, trolled the item builds, or left the game (I have zero leaver marks).

This is hilarious though:

banned till the 23rd … explain why because I haven’t done anything wrong

Added by Pendragon:
Lots of racist language, other gameplay disruptions (drawing smiley faces w/ Teemo shrooms), intentional feeding when team is losing, constant ping spam, afking/leaving games, buying nothing but wards,

The least reports was 154?

Is this a joke?

I actually tried double-philo stones (Started with double fairie charms) and it worked really well. I was mid vs. Vlad and we couldn’t kill each other so we both farmed. What’s more, the double Fairie Charms helped the Q-farm no end. Got both at 13 minutes (Could have got them sooner, probably should have) and that was quickly followed by an IE, a shurelyas, a Phantom Dancer, Cool Down boots and game end win!

I heard tell a certain Mr Side we used to play with got banned. Lol.

How should a jungle warwick be building? I’ve been told my build is terrible but I generally do well. I start with cloth armor and 5 health potions, build to a madred’s razor, then berzerker shoes, then a zeal, and from there I tend to mix up based on what I feel I need, either finish madred’s bloodrazor, finish phantom dancer, and build wit’s end. I generally finish with an infinity edge in longer games, but prior to that I’ve got a super fast attack speed with the extra passive damages from madred’s and wit’s end, and tend to just tear through stuff. I’ll build a guardian angel for some survivability if needed.

What level are you? Because that greatly influences what your starting item should be. For instance, Cloth armor is the slowest choice but needed if you aren’t 30. However try starting with Tshirt, 2 Health Pots and a Ward rather then 5 pots. You pretty much only ever need to pot on the Blue Buff (or Wraiths if you start at mini-golems) anyway.

Attack Speed boots are another if your not 30 choice because it greatly speeds your jungling up allowing you to get more proc chances. Otherwise I’d consider Merc Threads or Sorc Shoes to be the only two viable pick ups on a WW.

Generally, a full Madrads will give you all the damage you need combined with Sorc Shoes. However you shouldn’t rush it, instead try building at the very least a Spirit Visage first. I’d then consider grabbing a Banshee Veil to be pretty high priority, or if they are heavy phys damage get a Sunfire Cape first. Also if no-one else is building it you can grab an Aegis instead of a Spirit Visage (or in edition to). A GA is always an all round good choice late game.

Basically you want to build your WW to be quite tanky, as in most team comps you will be initiating a lot of the fights and jumping onto the enemies prime DPS character is oftentimes not the safest job in the world. You also still do a enough damage with Madrads that you can’t really be ignored, whereas building much more damage before the extreme late game will make you too much of a glass cannon. No point in having ridiculous lifesteal if you are one-shotted.

New champ sounds pretty awesome.

I’m level 18 and most of my runes are level 1, so I know that impacts my effectiveness.

So have any of you Eurodudes tried the new bot mode thingy?

As far as I was aware they hadn’t actually released the new AI yet?

They have, basically as a trial run on the EU servers. Played a few games. Meh. More interesting than trying new champions against bots before, and certainly better for new players than before, but still meh.
That said, it seems that when joining randoms the usual match-making gets thrown out completely. Had extremely good and unbelievably bad players on my team. More than usual in random queue, at least. And of course a few fun-based, non-serious builds.

Just played a game of it there. I’m relatively impressed by the difference compared to the bots before them. I mean they are still awful if you are an experienced player but I actually would recommend a new player to play against them now, rather then tell them to avoid playing the AI completely.
