Joystiq has a new preview up for LoL competitor Rise of Immortals:

There’s some interesting ideas in there, but I think their persistent meta game thing sounds really bad.
Starting with the cloth armor is the right way to go with Warwick, but you probably only need 1 potion. People probably give you grief because Phantom Dancer cannot be more wasted on any other champion than on Warwick. This is because if someone is wounded you get a giant movespeed bonus from Blood Scent, the attack speed from any other Ww centric item will put you close to the 2.5 cap when you howl, and he isn’t based around critical strike since Madred’s and his ult don’t gain anything from it. The fact that crits aren’t very useful for him means Infinity Edge isn’t as good on him as any other champ. The other fact that you can max out your attack speed means that Beserker’s Greaves are pretty wasted on him too.
Wit’s End is actually pretty awesome on him, but between that and Madred’s Sorc Shoes are just better for Warwick’s damage than other boots. Also, people forget that his ult does magic damage per hit and his Q is just magic damage. If you do something silly like build Tankwick and get a Sunfire Cape you are All Magic Damage All The Time.
Spirit Visage and then standard tank items if you are for some reason the initiator for your team (which you shouldn’t be). For a glassier cannonier build, Warwick damage items would probably come from this pool: Black Cleaver, Wit’s End, Stark’s Fervor, Malady. Note they all have on-hit effects, except Stark’s which has a team aura and combines armor reduction with lifesteal for Warwick survival-by-punching lulz.

build WW tanky, you just need madred… and that’s it
For once I actually agree with Idrisz…
I think the world might be coming to an end :)
-edit- Also Lazy, WW has always been a pure magic damage champion? I don’t understand your big sentiment about that suddenly being a bad thing? Or did I pick that up wrong?

Malady is the only other damage item I feel is worthwhile on WW. But I’m firmly on the build madred’s (just the base razors not the full on blood razor) and then go tanky train.
You do want to eventually finish the full Madrads. Just in case new people get the wrong idea :)
I see. So clearly I’ve had the wrong idea with AD+AS+crit on WW. Oh well. I’ve kind of gotten to the point where I feel that a jungler who isn’t amazing does more harm than good to his team, and I’m not that guy by a long shot.
On a side note I bought Renekton today and wow is he fun to play!
I have no idea where you got that from, other than the booze. I was pointing out that people new to the game/Warwick usually don’t notice that he does huge magic damage so Sorc Shoes are not to be mocked on him, while Beserker’s Greaves are.
He may not be the best but he’s my favorite melee to play in the game as well.
I don’t think black cleaver or starks are that useful on ww. Go with spirit visage to boost his passive and q, and build tank items to improve your survivability…

Yeah, some of the maps and gametypes sound interesting…but the way they do persistence is just …eww. Giving players a more powerful ultimate based upon persistent level? Lunacy! Its bad enough as a lower grunt dealing with higher level players with runes, but having to deal with a player who has more powerful skills and starts out of the gate with more powerful items?
Maybe the game is supposed to have more of a PvE focus?
Sorry mate. That’s why I asked, I’m so sarcastic all the time I simply expect it from other people :)

Black Cleaver I think is okay in rare cases, but Starks has never made sense to me on WW.
It was okay when it stacked 5 times, cos his ultimate was the easiest way to get 5 stacks on a target. Right now though it’s just a mediocre choice, although I’ll agree far better then Starks and the only AD item you should ever buy on WW.
I dunno, Stark’s has always served me well on Warwick. If you have BC and Stark’s, your ult will effectively reduce someone’s armor by 65 for both you and the rest of your team. Also, mixing in lifesteal with Ww’s passive is silly fun for 1v2ing people. People sometimes say they don’t think Warwick brings much to a teamfight, but if you have an aura everyone loves you!
Of course I am pretty much the only person I ever see buy Stark’s for some reason, so if I don’t get it no one does.

I like it on Sivir as well, but then again she likes BF swords, and the BloodThirster is so easy for her to build up that I tend to go that route instead.
I like to build Aegis on my WW, if no-one else is building that is (you should always have an aegis, just fyi) so I definitely agree on your Aura statement. Thing is, WW gains practically no benefit from the Armor Reducement so it’s hard to recommend those kinds of items to someone. Still, for a late game boost in damage output your not going to get much better then a BC (or a Void Staff). That’s talking extreme late game though, as like your 6th item (and none of WW’s items are cheap).

I’m not a fan of Bloodthirster. It makes people who aren’t idrisz run off to farm creeps instead of maneuvering for a teamfight or gank.
And then when they die, they run off to do it again.

Hah! Funny you should mention that…
(not directed at you)
Don’t blame your stupid “go in now” when it’s 3v5 in the middle of the map when we were behind and could have just defended the base against their silly push, on me. Or the fact Afr got caught because he had 400ping and your best idea was to go in afterwords?
I told you like a min in advance to pull back and I was going to clear the enormous wave top. I then went calmly back to base because nothing was going to go in our advantage after somebody got picked. You however decided to run in and fight them. Good call, imo.
