The number keys 1-6 correspond to your inventory slots.

By default they map to your number keys. I usually put usable items in slot 1 and slot 2, except for Wards which I just leave wherever they are as mouse clicking them is fine.

They are bound to the numbers 1-6 by default. Of course I never remember to use the items with an activation.

Yeah I used to have this problem and still do somewhat but to a much lesser extent. I’ll still lose a fight sometimes, just barely, then realize I didn’t activate my Ghostblade.

I don’t think I’ve ever managed to remember to activate a Gunblade or Randuin’s Omen… The only one I’m good with is the Hourglass.

Same here. I generally skip over items w/ activation abilities because I know that part of the cost of those items is invested in a good ability I’ll never remember to use.

Forge, I have jungled almost exactly as you do and have has good success (couple of early ganks, for example) and yes, out-of-lane he has less mana problems (due to blue buff). However, if you are laning there is usually someone better to take blue buff and then your problems start. I am thinking manamune, but it takes a fair while to get stacked.

It’s probably her most needed item except Rylai’s (obv) it’s strong as fuck and you get 8 stacks on it pretty quick.

Guinsoo on Akali is just argh… I guess it’s ok for pushing towers with it, but you can’t just sit there and auto attack your stacks up, at most you get is 4-5 stacks in a team fight.

I lol when I see Guisnos on Akali I lol. The “by the numbers” guide on leaguecraft explains why best.

I don’t think it does. It is not the case that Akali uses her abilities and then, oh well, team fight’s over, which the guide seems to imply.

I think the bigger issue with Guinsoo’s on Akali is that being a burst magic damage champ, she doesn’t benefit much from the stacking bonus attack speed compared to more attack focused AP champs like Kayle or Jax (or sometimes even Kog’Maw and Teemo).

I think the reason why Akali is bad because her general full open combos goes

Q -> Wait CD -> R -> Auto attack -> Q -> Auto attack, but since akali is squishy, she have to drop the Shroud after popping her 2nd Mark else in team fight she just get focus down.

so it’s 5 stacks at most unless you planning not drop the shroud and just spam R on the same target in team fights, you don’t need attack speed because she isn’t an auto attack champion, you can get cheaper AP item overall.

I believe that’s one of the reason Westrice also recommend against Guinsoo on Akali, I think one of his main is Akali for ranked.

I trolled good! Serially though, if I stand still in any fight as Akali I die, and if the target hasn’t died after a burst (and team’s help) it seems likely the fight won’t go well. I would rather get even more AP and make each burst deadly.
