I recently played my first game against the new bots and I was very impressed.
They’re ok but I can’t get excited by them. They still don’t pay attention to brush, they don’t jungle and they love being hit by the oppositions tower - even if they’re weak :)
We had plenty of CC. A Warwick and a Cho, never mind the fact that Kennen should be a walking stun bot.
It’s an old bug, Singed’s poison trail used to have the same bug. Basically each bit of the trail is considered a “unit” so when it “dies” (disappears) it will proc Trundle’s passive and charge Alistar’s heal.
The fact this bug has reappeared suggests to me extreme lazyness from their coders or else their code monkeys don’t have a basic understanding of how the game works (because this would probably be the easiest way to code something like this to work in the engine).

Are you forgetting that Akali has four skills?

Akali in a teamfight rarely gets to Q first.
R > auto > Q > auto > E > auto > W/Q/R depending on situation.
It’s also incredibly useful for farming, pushing lanes, and if you get it early you get blue/red buffs very quickly. If you have Sheen then the combo above gets very important to stagger and some of that attack speed helps to nail down a good timing.
And you should rarely be at 0 stacks starting a teamfight, lots of fights start with some harassment, or killing creeps. Hell, you can just spam E and get stacks if you wanted to.

Nah, I’ve tried that, you run out of energy too quickly. :(
All LoL fans might be interested in knowing that this weekend Steam is allowing steam users to play Monday Night Combat for free; if you are wondering, yes, it’s a tower defense/dota-inspired game played in a third person over the shoulder perspective.
Actually the third person over the shoulder dota game is Savage. Monday Night Combat is a first person shooter with dota elements, except the players aren’t much tougher than the creeps so you die a lot.
Uh, anyway. Is there any way to make Heimerdinger not suck?

farm a shit ton, try to start teamfight at your turret.
Heimer isn’t too bad, was just playing him last night, especially in late game, heimer does so much damage and so damn hard to chase down.

Point Blank EMP shots are really hard to dodge, and Stun on direct hits, so you can use that as a way of avoiding melee.
No idea what Savage is but MNC is third person, not first person.
And Heimer doesn’t suck, his turrets got nerfed but stack AP/defense and you still got a pretty decent champ.

Monday Night Combat is 3rd-person. Savage is 1st-person.
Savage doesn’t really have all that much DotA influence, seeing as how it preceeded it. It was a pretty straight-up RTS/FPS hybrid.
MNC creeps also aren’t really that powerful. If you’re dying to bots a lot, you’re playing it very very wrong. Like DotA games, you should be letting your creeps take the damage while you kill things.
It’s actually quite similar to DotA in terms of each match’s general structure and flow, but with FPS controls and the ability to (re)build/upgrade towers. Both sides are escorting their own bots trying to push through opposing waves to ultimately destroy the core in the heart of the enemy’s base.

Short resume of the game:
“Digby, go bait them”
Digby proceeds to bait the enemy tanks into initiating on him, along with the rest of the team. Tals and the rest of the gang jump out of the bush and surprise rape the enemy team. Hilarity ensues.
Awesome game. :D
Maybe I’m the weird one then, because I played savage in 3rd person and MNC in 1st person. MNC blackjack bots take about the same number of hits to kill as a player. They’re easier to hit, of course, and it’s give or take depending on the class you’re attacking. The small shooty bots are much weaker than players and the big jackbots are much stronger.
I wasn’t saying Savage was influenced by DOTA, but merely that it was effectively the same type of game, of which DOTA has become a more ubiquitous term. I hate the term MOBA that is being thrown around more recently because when I think multiplayer online battle arena I think unreal tournament or quake 3.

Heimer does suck, trust me. He used to be my main until the turret nerf. I played him two or three times and can’t 0 since. He needs strong turrets to dominate early game and get his farm on. They are too weak now for him to lane well.
The turret damage is adequate at best for something you have to statically deploy and can’t control the aim of. They also just die too fast, in like 3 hits by mid-late game, so an upgrade really can’t keep them alive more than a half second longer. They need a better AP ratio and to get a health bonus based on your bonus health, which could play well with a rylais or an archangels. Maybe armor/mr bonuses similarly too.
Heimer doesn’t suck, he still pushes like a beast and his rocket+grenade combo is lethal in a teamfight. I’ve seen Dan Dinh dominating with Heimer recently in 2k elo games.
My guess is you should try prioritizing rockets over turrets.

turret does insane damage in late game…
I just played some more heimer in premade 5v5 playing with chaplain(I think almost everyone in group had over 300+ wins, opponent team’s lowest guy had 280 win, and rest of them had over 600 wins, so basically not bunny :P ). Both games ended up with us losing early game, I just farm up in the mid lane, and once team fight starts, it’s GG.
the things is to store your turrets and drop them during the team fight because turret’s attack speed is 1.25 base, but for the first 6 second it attack 50% faster at cloes to 2.0, that means if you drop both at beginning of the fight, you are dishing out close to 800 splash damage a second, while at same time spamming missile and grenade, also your turret shred magic resist and armor per shot, it’s only 1, but it stacks up extremely quickly.
the early game is a bit rough for heimer since all his skills cost so much mana, but once I get Arch angels, I don’t ever run into mana problem plus it’s easy for heimer to get blue buff.
Oh yeah I take ghost and flash with heimer, since he is squishy, I manage to get away from a 4 man gank today, they were camping the grass in mid, and I walked in there without knowing it, and flash/ghost drop turrets/ult/missile/grenade drop their vlad from full to 200 healths, and we won the team fight.

One of the most dominating matches we have played - in the end the map was ours regardless of whether we could be bothered to take out the nexus. Really nice set of games we played last night. Really loving flash now - can’t believe it has taken me this long to realise how amazing and easy to use it is :)
