The sad thing about this combo is that RO’s active only lasts like 2 seconds, so if you use it as you ult as Malphite it will wear off before the stun does. :(

Attack Speed also has some wacky math involved.

And Armor Pen has several different categories of reduction, like for example, Armor Pen itself cannot reduce armor below zero, but Armor Reduction can, and in fact, having negative armor grants bonus damage.

The Wiki isn’t wrong, the order as stated in the Wiki is:

  1. Percentage Magic Resistance Reduction
  2. Flat Magic Resistance Reduction
  3. Flat Magic Penetration
  4. Percentage Magic Penetration

Percentage MR Reduction is still MR Reduction, not Penetration. And the Wiki lists Nidalee’s Bushwack as the only spell that actually does this for MR, though several %Armor Reduction abilities exist including Jarvan and Urgot.

So those spells effectively cut through a percent of the opponent’s armor before penetration and other reduction effects (usually items like Black Cleaver) are factored in.

You have 30% armor reduction, 20 flat armor reduction, 10 flat armor penetration, and 40% armor penetration.

* Target A has 80 armor.
      o The 80 is reduced to 56 by your 30% armor reduction. 
      o The 56 is reduced to 36 by your 20 armor reduction.
      o The 36 is reduced to 26 by your 10 armor penetration.
      o The 26 is reduced to 15.6 by your 40% armor penetration.
            + 26 - (26 * 0.40) == 26 - 10.4 == 15.6 
      o Target A takes damage as if it has 15.6 armor

* Target B has 18 armor.
      o The 18 is reducted to 12.6 by your 30% armor reduction.
      o The 12.6 is reduced to -7.4 by your 20 armor reduction.
      o The -7.4 is not reduced by your 10 armor penetration (cannot penetrate below 0).
      o The -7.4 is not reduced by your 40% armor penetration (cannot penetration below 0).
      o Target B takes damage as if it has -7.4 armor.

Idrisz, you… completely forgot about the 30% armor reduction? The Wiki isn’t wrong, that example is following the dev post.

I mean, you can see the target’s armor after using Urgot’s E or Jarvan’s Q, they will have a debuff and their armor will drop by that percentage. That is the armor that you are now attacking against and which all further calculations from your champ will apply. AFAIK there is no item that does % armor reduction, only abilities that debuff the enemy.

3 games in a row where someone on the opposing team queue dodged, and then the matchmaker set me up onto that team, and it was fucking obvious why someone queue dodged but I decided to play anyways. Big mistake.

Well, maybe not completely. After the fourth or so teamfight they wised up and the carries focused me down while Malphite and Morde kept my team (feedwick!) busy.
