So, you never played with a decent Teemo player?
I rest my case.
Again, not arguing he is a top ELO champ or what have you, simpyl stating he is fun to play and can be a useful team member.
Following your logic anyone who is shit at LoL should simply stop playing because there are countless, COUNTLESS!, Ashe’s, Miss Fortunes’, whatever, who can’t play for shit and they are playing with decent or half decent champ, not Teemo.

PS: you don’t need to chase Teemo to trip on a mushroom, when I play with him I plant mushrooms everywhere, it’s almost impossible for the other team to get into any bush without tripping on a mushroom (ah!).

You seem to forget what Teemo does best, and that’s map control. Also, the only decent thing any Evelynn can do is counter jungle, provided someone on the enemy team is even jungling.

I’d rather have Teemo than Eve simply because he contributes to team fights and isn’t a selfish play oriented character.

I’m not a big fan of him but at the Elo level I play I’ve seen him dominate on occasion.

Teemo might be the worst ranged carry, but he never seemed that much worse than the rest of the pack. He can certainly hold his own in the right hands at Low-Mid ELO.

teemo is a good counter to AD carries with his blind, that’s about as far as I can see.

though AP teemo is annoying as fuck with stupid mushrooms.

Wow I have seen some amazing teemos, where he could just to nuts. seen some really bad ones to.

Last game with a bad teemo, when the game ended he was 18 and had 2 speed boots, thats right 2 level 1 speedboots and that was IT!!! LOL

But have played against some amazing teemos to.

Riot’s internal team just went from shitty to worthless.

I got two champs…:Garen and Kog’Maw…the former is an insane destroyer o’enemies, a scythe of the land, who is so imposing, he sometimes can chase people just by being there.

His ultimate attack is a terrible threat to anyone who wants to duel.

The latter is a squishy toad who can fire some insane ranged stuff, he has lots of cool stuff, and even blows up on death…really hard to play, and I have yet to see a positive K/D score.

Fun tho…and his dance routine is awesome too.

I agree that having fun is the most important part of the game, but this game is built around winning. Have as much fun as you want, but if you aren’t trying to win, why are you playing a competitive game?

(ps: I really hate playing competitive team based games with people who don’t have a competitive bone in their body. Their lack of gaming ambition brings the whole team down. There are tons of games available that people can play however they want without affecting other people’s enjoyment of said game)

I think the whole “I play for fun, not to win” goes out the window when there are four other people on your team dedicating 30-45 minutes of their time and expecting you to pull your weight.

I play LoL to win because winning is fun.

It seems to me that the people who whip out “I play for fun, not to win” in such an intense genre where each person really needs to be trying their best is just shorthand for “I’m bad.”

I equate it more to ‘I’m bad and don’t care who it causes to suffer’. The worst are the ones who you try to give good advice to help them learn and they throw it in your face that they don’t care if they just tower dove and cost you the game. :(

Stop feeding, noobs.

Or shorthand for “I care absolutely nothing for what your ambitions about this game are or if you are having fun, go play ranked if you are after highly competitive gaming or even better, high stakes poker”.

And AFAIK, “winning” is the opposite of losing, fun is when you enjoy doing something regardless of the outcome, competitiveness has nothing to do with having fun or not, merely with the effort you will dish out to try and win.

Again, back when the Teemo discussion started the issue wasn’t about being competitive and playing to win or not, the issue was how Teemo is “bad” or not.

To respond like your average random LoL player: “lol, /care about random games, go play ranked if you are pro”.

Gangplank wasn’t available when I tried a multiplayer game, but I tried Vladimir and he seemed really fun. Fairly simple mechanic to him, I guess, but I did quite well. We only had two active players on our team vs four on theirs, but I got a couple of kills and killed a ton of minions due to the stick-a-bility of Vlad and his life sucking ways.

Today we fought a ~5k life, ~700 AP vlad. Not fun.

AP? By level 15 I had, I dunno, 1500 life. I guess all the leveling and rune stuff helps as well as kitting up right.

He seems a supreme creep killer, and while not great at taking out players, is also hard for players to kill. Amusing.

idrisz: what happened this time?

Digby: good characters don’t get re-makes. Teemo’s staring down a remake. At the moment, AP Teemo is the only worthwhile incarnation and he’s pretty much a ward-bitch with a blind that can be removed. That’s not a good character but it’s not Eve bad. It’s current Jax bad. l0l got it right up-thread. He’s a map-control character, but unlike the other characters with map control (Shaco, Heim, Nid) that’s all he is.

Carry Teemo IS bad, on the other hand. No steroid skills, no carry-type damage moves. Carry Teemo’s the one that might rack up a few kills early because of the damage and poison but becomes useless come team-fights. Assuming the other team is playing the game and not full of muppets. That’s why the re-make/work is looking at a Utility character. Possibly a map-control jungler. Who knows?

I’m saying all that but I very, very rarely ever see Teemo. He seems to have disappeared with the people I play against. On the other hand, Kass is back with avengeance as probably the best anti-carry “You can’t stop me!” character.

Janster: Kog’Maw is a killer. He was the best ranged carry for a while because one of his moves was giving him way too much AS. That’s been changed now. I don’t know how he stands post-patch.

Calistas: come join us on the EU servers and one of us (yes, I’m offering) will teach you a bit if you want. Vlad is absolutely a good player-killer, but he sort of needs his team to really shine.

I just played against a Sona with a tank build, and damn it was OP. She had enough mana regen to keep spamming her spells, but she was near impossible to kill with a Rammus next to her as well…

That is surprisingly easy to do you know.

Also patch notes, why have you all forsaken me? I need the linkz. I refuse to actually go and surf the laggy horrible mess that is Riots site myself ;)
