I’ve purchased a few champs with RP but I typically save it for skins.
Buying the retail box (I think they still sell it digitally too) will give you the greatest value. It’s still 20 dollars, but it will give you most of the core champions that were released when League first came out.

Note that if the jungler doesn’t time it properly, there’s no reason to stick around in the lane. If the gank is botched, well, whatever, go back to what you were doing. Don’t hang around draining xp and gold. Unless you can actually push the tower, but if you botched the gank, you probably can’t.

Make sure you get tristana for free by friend riot game on facebook.
She is a solid carry and one of top tier range dps, plus she is easy to play.

Thanks for the tips. And, carry?

any heroes that can carry the team to a win, most of the carries are high dpsers.
AFAIK you don’t get her by friending them on facebook, you only get the Riot Girl skin for her but you still need to unlock her.

Incorrect. If you ever earn any skin via promotion and you don’t own the champion, you get the champion unlocked as a part of that promotion.

Skins! Has to be skins. Skins every time. Not the re-colour skins, 'though. The only decent one of those is probably PAX Twisted Fate.
Miss Fortune’s a bad match-up for Vlad. She’s a ranged carry against a support/caster type who does have killing potential mostly through poking, but it’s not that. Her, Gangplank, Katarina, Tristana and I may be missing someone plus anyone with Ignite all have abilities that cut healing by half. Vlad thrives on self-healing so he’s gimped against them.

Miss Fortune is too easy to play, I’m bored of her already. I hope they change rotation soon. ):

…And needs some tweaking/ nerfing. She is the ultimate ranged hero now. Ashe is suddenly nowhere to be seen and every game has two Fortunes. Each game I have played her I have had a triple kill (including the very first time I played her). I would not mind if they slowed down the releases for a bit and went back and tweaked things a bit so you saw more heroes; if it was not for the free rotation, I think the game would be very stale on hero choice.

I agree, they need to stop releasing new heroes and fix the current ones. In my first game as Miss Fortune I got a quad kill, and i’ve had like 4-5 now so far, and scoring a triple kill almost every game. She’s too easy to play for the amount of dps she can output.
On a different note, has anyone played Sona properly yet? I’ve seen one, but she was on my team and I didn’t really notice her all game.
Idrisz plays a mean Sona.

A lot of people are quick to jump on the “Sona sukorz! I am going to play [insert favorite dps]” train. But really she is a freaking fanstastic support that even does a decent amount of damage especially early. I think of her as sort of a caster Taric (heal/ stun/ buff) that plays like Udyr (constant cycling). Her auto tracking heals really help hold a lane or influence a team fight while also having a solid massive area effect stun. Possibly the best support in the game.
Very, very good. She just doesn’t melt faces so people don’t really get all excited about her. IMO.

Sona totally melt faces, she is incredibly hard to kill in laning phase and harass like you wouldn’t believe.
I level up Q first then W, I only put points in E after maxing Q and W. her Q does a crazy 270 damages at lvl 5. since most people don’t play her, they don’t know she can burst down someone from half, with a Q + auto attack(proc from her passive for like 24 + 12xlevel magic damage), then Ult them, and Q again, you can easily get first kill at lvl 6.
during team fight, spam heal and nuke, her damage will stacks up really quickly if ignored, not mentioning her Ultimate is as powerful as Amumu.
Only problem with Sona is unable to pick targets with her nuke, it always head for closest champion.
for the games we played yesterday, even the one we lost, Sona lane usually does well, udyr = good counter vs Sona.
Riot isn’t doing a very good job of keeping new champions balanced with old, existing ones. It’s very common for new champs to be OP until the nerf bat slams 'em down.
This is certainly the case for level 30 play with both MF and Sona - both champs are currently extremely strong when handled by someone who understands the game mechanics well (I wouldn’t recommend Sona for a new player but MF is strong in all tiers.)

My friends like to float the conspiracy theory that Riot likes to leave them a bit strong in initial release to get more people to drop cash on them on week 1, then nerf them around week 3 or 4 (so you buy the newest slightly OP hero-- kinda like Games Workshop =). Not sure if I want to wear the tin foil hat or not, but there are some pretty damn strong champions released recently-- and especially strong in week 1 and 2 of a release. Some make you really wonder what they were thinking when released.
As for Sona, yeah, early game she has SERIOUS damage. Later on I think she is much more super crazy support rather that face melter though.
It makes sense to do this just so more people are playing the hero. If the hero is balanced out with the other choices, but no one knows how to play the new hero, you’d never see anyone risk choosing them.

the conspiracy is that all new female characters must have d-cups in order to sell well!!
It’s not a conspiracy if it’s plainly obvious. Also: must wear sluttastic costume and have stripper /dance.
