It got to the point where people, on the internet, in an official game forum, were complaining about every human/angel female character (and Soraka) having unfeasibly large breasts and/or wearing next-to-nothing. Except Kayle, who’s more butch than Gragas.

Re: the OP new hero thing. Urgot is not. I think the problem is Riot have high-Elo people on staff and in the PTR so the champs are more-or-less there but not for lower levels. There may be a grain of truth to the ‘more powerful early’ thing.

Power creep is natural and Riot are aware of it, so we’ll see what they do. I hope sooner rather than later because MF/Sona every game is starting to drive me crackers.

Xin has certainly faded in popularity since he came out. He’s still pretty good but not face roll good anymore and as such doesn’t really show up much.

Although at the ranked Elo Ive played at melee champs dont really show up much, its all a combination of ranged carries and support.

I don’t see Sona every game but that doesn’t surprise me as support characters aren’t always popular. But it seems to be trending that way with MF. Though I agree that diversity is great, her current popularity doesn’t surprise me - she brings a lot to the table and can be a dominant ranged carry at all skill levels.

In general, I agree. Trist > MF as Trist is much stronger in 1v1 or even 2v2. And that’s how most fights for the majority of games. But for really strong organized play (higher ELO), I think the fights trend towards 3v3+ at a time and in those cases I think MF is stronger due to her increased AE capabilities.

Been trying out Trist - she is crazy fun - thanks for the tip. On 3v3 she can hold her lane and once her ultimate comes in, punt people into tower kill range for easy gankage. Very amusing.

just played some 5vs5 Rank with bluemax, found out a few things I didn’t know.

You don’t need a pre made 5 to play 5vs5 ranked.
Trist is even more awesome than I imagine. Her rocket jump comes off cooldown after a kill or assist!!

Ranked is split into Solo, 3v3 premade and 5v5 premade

If you do Solo you can be either 1 or a 2 player premade - probably means if you are doing solo it is worth having a buddy for the advantage it will give

yeah, I play defensive with trist since I never use rocket jump to finish off a kill because I like it saved to running away.

but last night, I decided to tower dive mordekaiser with rocket jump figuring the trade off will be good, so I jumped in, and ult, he dies.

I was like hey, my rocket jump is off cooldown, jump back out. then I carefully read the skill description again and notice that it comes off cooldown on assist or kill which mean now I can play offensively as long as I can score a kill for me to run away.

I am loving this game and loving Trist. She is superb fun! Jumping in, punting enemies back to buddies and jumping out never gets old.

I am now experimenting with a range of builds with her. I think I will work on life steal, damage and crit chance. I love leaching health!

Been having fun building a life stealing trist. I can go from half health half way down a lane on Twited Thingy to full health at the other end, feeding on two waves. I’m thinking it kills my DPS, but it keeps me in lanes a very long time and it serves to help tank bad guys, believe it or not. I also think her exploding minions damage feeds the life steal, sweet.

Sona and Amumu have AoE stuns/snares, Galio has an AoE taunt that explodes you, Nunu has an AoE slow that explodes, and Ramus has hyper speed, brief stuns, and single-target taunt, as well as some ult that I think does AoE damage.

Just got nailed on 5v5, annoying because I was dominating my lane while everyone else failed. I am still realy unsure about the lifestealing approach to trist (Malady, beserkers, Bloodthirsters, Zeal --> Infinity’s edge… etc).

I’m concerned I’m losing a lot of DPS, but I do like my health bubbling up with each creep wave. Usually people go damage/speed/crit and completely glass canon Trist. hmm

Are there any good character calculators out there?
