If you have both clients you can always play, no matter the time. As they stagger the server down-time between US and EU.

That’s on the WCG. You had to pay for the high-quality broadcast, too. Someone streamed the high-quality “HD” one and that wasn’t impressive either. In fact, for most of the second game someone made a mistake and turned down the microphone on the casters so you couldn’t hear them.

WCG wrested streaming control away from Riot (who was using CLG’s stream) for the Finals. Everyone was pretty unhappy.

That’s because WCG charge for their ‘high-quality’ broadcasts.
Patch notes out. Swain looks interesting, Garen got nerfed, Sivir got buffed, Vlad got balanced, 'mumu and Kog got minor nerfs and Manamune got a buff (2% from 1.5).
Next few champions: Garen’s younger sister, Lux. Who will almost certainly shout “Demaciaa!”. Light-based pure support. No heals.
Irelia after her. Assassin/DPS with an awesome-sounding ‘style’ (think Wuju). She lifesteals but can activate to deal true damage for a short time and lose the passive. Her ult is a summon.
A couple of monsters upcoming. One will be a voidling, I guess. The other will probably be Nasus’s brother, Renekhton+. There will be a gravity champion. There will be a sniper-type champ. There will also be a time-based melee DPS champ. Ability ideas floated were a line-nuke/teleport, an AS ability with debuff (Fast Forward) and some sort of stat-increasing-over-time ability. I’m getting those Chronos feelings again.
+Incidentally, that artists appears to work for Sucker Punch, probably a freelancer they used repeatedly. I can see bits from Infamous and Sly Cooper there, as well as other projects that are either cancelled or possibly ongoing.

It ain’t just the game quality… In games 1 and 3 the audio is off by more then 3 seconds and in game 2 the sound was just gone completely. Whole thing smacks of a really cheap job that no-one really cared about (3 seconds+ of lag means it’s sub-standard of even an average college students home project).

I would guess no one at WCG even looked at the video before posting it to youtube. Considering the vast number of videos they appear to have uploaded that’s understandable, but you’d think they’d at least make sure it was synced correctly. Oh well. The audio in game two was broken during the match itself so that was expected.
In other news, HSGG is trolling on Swain because the champion is completely worthless. Brutalizer and Wit’s End is the new high elo build.

not sure about worthless, but it’s lacking… the AP ratio on his skills is pretty crappy.
also his skill cooldown is quite long as well.

Yeah, HS was just playing AD because the AP ratio is awful.
He has some utility so I’m thinking he might be best as an aura stacker until they fix him.

Yup unfortunately both clients need separate accounts. It’s not big a deal though, just means you’ll pwn face till you get back to your level ;)
I guess it would be a good way to experiment with other heroes as well.
Oh, picked up Gangplank on the weekend - with my nickname TinyPirate - I kind of felt I had to. So far, not really impressed. His ulti is great - and picking people off on other lanes as they fleet is rather fun… but other than that… he’s not super great in any particular role. I couldn’t help but think other heroes would have been more useful in each fight I got into. Hmm.
Still loving Trist though - Working on a crit chance build now. I do love how hard she hits and how quick she can ruin someone’s day!
Oh, I love reading theorycraft builds which include items that people won’t physically be able to build as the final slot has an item built from two other items, for example. Duh.

As long as you have one slot why can’t you build it?
IE Say I want to build Nashor’s tooth and I only have one spot left. I build the Stinger component, and then save up enough gold to finish off the whole thing in one go, without ever purchasing the tome as a separate item.
Um. Yeah. I was thinking over dinner “um, maybe I can buy items outright!” …and so yeah, duh me!
