On another note when are they going to sort out f^£W^% multiple mastery pages, the system sucks big time having to clear masteries and then reinput where you have random pugs so are waiting for what they select before you go firm on a champion.

My new trist build is firstly, an Executioners Calling (cheap lifesteal and crit… the two naturally synergize and I’ve found it keeps this train rolling). Boots - depending on opponents, but I often go Ninja as I get hit a lot. Bad me. Infinity Edge. Last Whisper or Phantom Dancer (depending on opponents I’ll get one or other first). It is possible the game won’t last long enough for PD, in which case Zeal is cheap enough to build. In fact, that build slides in at under 10k (with boots), which is quite reasonable.

1.8 attack speed, 65% crit strike, 190 damage. The damage isn’t as high as one can go, but I was whacking Twisted Fate and some other support/carry for around 450 with crits, which adds up. I’ve also noticed that Rocket Jump can crit (which results in a shower of money) and of course, you’re life-stealing off all the crits as well. Lovely.

So far I’ve won two games going this way and in both games Trist has become a real monster a the mid levels. I think going Executioners gives you some late-early game survival which is achieved far quicker than Starks or BT, both of which I find a grind to get to. With EC up you can work on boots and IE pretty promptly and from there you’re really hurting people.

It’s nice that I’m broadly capable with at least ONE hero.

And thanks or all the tips. I’m getting a lot better at last hitting and I’m being more careful early on, which is preventing deaths and reducing the enemy’s chance at my lane.

On that note, for the serious players out there. How many champs do you feel comfortable playing?

Too many. I tend to play 10 games or so of a champion and switch, and if I’m having a serious bout of ADD I’ll switch every game. This is actually more often than I’d like to admit, mainly because I play ranked games and because I have such flexibility (9 rune pages) I want to play the role that fits rather than only stick to one or two champions.

I’m good with 3-4, but tend to play anywhere from 6-9 regularly in ranked. I’m probably only excellent with 1 (Gragas).

Starting again after a couple of months of hiatus I’ve noticed one thing.
Were there so many droppers always or is it just something new.

I always play Akali and I could be leading in kills and pushing a lane hard when suddenly one or two players drop and it’s back to a defeat.

Tried a fun build last night, Tiamat Miss Fortune. I hedged my bets and only built 2 of them but it was still pretty fun to watch people get messed up by splash damage.

I’m learning Galio now, I like him a lot. I tried MF, but her abilities seemed too straight-forward to me, probably because I didn’t understand them. I like powers with secondary effects. |^)

I wonder if either LoL is like the only contestant or riot gave tons of blowjob to all the voters.
