I wish I was good at Rammus. I bought the chrome skin because he’s awesome but I’m just bad with him. Maybe I should give him another try.

And they remade Lux because the original was kind of obnoxious. I like her new attire much more.

Lux is sounding a bit OP from her skill set. Will have to see how it actually turns out.

Seems like everyone here mained Amumu before he became a sure ban. I can do a decent Shen but I don’t actually own him. Trying to learn Singed and Rammus off and on.

1965

The thing I like about Rammus is that he has two abilities that are helpful in protecting his team mates, taunt can help for taking down carries, and powerball provides a small bit of stun, slow and nuke damage. The cooldowns are a lot lower so you’re not as useless in a fight after using them as I sometimes felt while playing amumu.

The funny thing is before Shen came around, Rammus was probably the single most annoying tank to face because of taunt. After Shen people kind of forgot about Rammus and he still doesn’t get picked all that much but I think he is really useful.

Just had a couple of frustrating games, so please allow me to vent. The games weren’t bad due to other people (though in the second game we had a few weaker players against some very good opponents (do many people smurf?)), they were bad because I wasn’t very good! Arrg!

Picked up Miss Fortune and she is lots of fun, but so fragile and I kept either putting myself in the wrong place and dying or unloading all my powers and only getting assists. I finished 5:16:5, which wasn’t the worst, all but our Pantheon were a bit rubbish.

But anyway, although I did good on last hits (not hard with MF really) I just kept being stunned and killed while looking around going “WTF? Where has my team gone?”.

I managed 180 creep kills, their very good trist hit 210 or so! Damn, I have never killed so many in a game ever, and she didn’t farm the entire game and was in for all the big fights I saw. I need to learn how to pull that trick off too!

Anyway, only been playing for two weeks, perhaps I need to be patient. Wish I wasn’t going up levels tho!

It’s a really weird one, i’ve had awesome games and i’ve had really bad games.

If I get fed, life is wonderful, if I don’t life is pretty harsh because then you start trying to counter it and those items which work in feeding have to take a back seat which then sets you back and the ultimate result is bad and cashflow is struggling which makes it even worse.

I do find it strange that I still get advice on how to play Ashe though :)

I have hit over 300 creep kills with MF, thats a long game. With Swain im lucky to hit 75. Sometime I use her ult to farm, get good cash that way.

1970

I do, especially when learning a new character or playing with other newbies. (I try to do both at the same time).

1971

I smurf with newbie friends but I’ll usually play support and try to help the newbs on my team play better instead of just carrying them.

1972

So I played 4 pubbies today, sticking with the chick with the big gun every time. I was 0-4, which wasn’t surprising. There was one game when kills was 10/10 and I think they had 1 of our towers down. When we surrendered, kills were 15/43. Yeesh.

Had another game where I owned. I think the previous game was smurf heavy. This game, though. . . there must have been 15 minion deaths and I never died. I watched players on both teams attempt to take on creep waves solo. I got 9 or 10 kills and was far and away the minion leader. I also didn’t die. But most of my teammates were 0/x. In fact, someone d/c’d eartly and someone else d/c’d midway through, so we were short handed.

Last game was promising through the 15m mark. Not sure what happened, but we got slowly owned. I am level 4 now. I purchased 3 runes (each granting some per level bonus). And I have no idea what to spend mastery points on.

If you are level 4, save your IP for a champion you like/want to try. Don’t buy runes until you are level 20 or so, when they are the highest tier. I bought about 5 or 6 heroes that I liked, saved from level 20 to 30, and then bought a full rune set from 27-30 or so. Low level runes do next to nothing, but owning a hero is fun ;)

Also join the QT3 Euro or US guys, playing with a VOIP team is far more fun and you’ll learn a lot quicker

I purchased some fist points and I’ve purchased a couple of champions (and I might get the shield and spear centurion looking guy). I didn’t spend much on my runes forutnately.

I still don’t know how to just do team chat. I wanted to tell the flying clockwork dude to stop going in versus 2 powerful heroes last game, but I couldn’t. I played over hald the game (20+ minute game length) solo due to disconnects. I couldn’t figure out how to surrender.

Sigh.

will put up a surrender vote, or you can hit escape and Surrender from the menu there (might be buried in one of the sub-menus).

Peacedog is on mumble, btw. He pulled of an impressive ulti hit on pantheon as panth lept at him on the weekend, knocking pant away and then finishing him off with a few rockets. Was great play!

1978

Oh, so it goes to team by default; I thought return was all chat. Hmmm.

Finally had a pubby win. I had a couple of dumb deaths, and only 6 kills. Some dude on our team had 22 (I did get 9 assists). That guy obviously carried the team, but someone on the losing team couldn’t shut up about it. We even one short handed, that guy with 22 kills was so good it didn’t matter.

I mostly died when I thought “this time I can finish that enemy summoner”. Gah, that gets me in trouble too much (6 deaths this game, most I had today). Also had several times where I thought I had someone dead but they escaped with a sliver of health. Curses.

I am learning to love rocket jump; if you can finish someone with it you can have a lot of fun since you get to jump again.

shift-return goes to all automatically. Also, /taunt /joke /dance are fun on occasion. :)

Also, /ff is the quicker way to surrender. I’m quite familiar with that, unfortunately.

And Tier 1 runes are cheap enough to be worth the price, imho, but wait for Tier 3 if you want.
