Thought up some new achievement ideas:

ninja swipe: As the hunter incap a survivor by hitting them with your claw attack.

the little swipe that could: As a jockey incap a survivor using claw damage.

A trip to the car wash: As the boomer sacrifice yourself to cause the alarm car to go off.

super loogie: As the spitter cause spit damage on 4 different occasions in one life.

“Look out he’s got a stick”: Kill one of each SI with a melee weapon.

Over the edge: As the smoker pull a survivor so that they either die or become incapped.

Insult to Injury: While as the SI, cause a gas can to explode and do fire damage to an incapped survivor.

The wrong kind of help: As a survivor use a molotov on another survivor who is pounce, charged , or being jockeyed.

“Why won’t you die!”: During a game of realism get through the entire level (or should we do campaign) without hitting any infected in the head.

Ultimate Survivor: Make it through the entire campaign to every safe room and escape at the end.

One of the best parts about knowing that everyone is gunning for you is that I simply don’t go first through any dangerous spots, such as the bridge during the parish finale.

A lot of those achievements aren’t really possible yet, but go ahead and keep posting them. The plugin is getting a lot of fixes, as it’s still in beta… so with each update I’ll probably go back and see if any new features can be used with previously submitted achievement ideas.

I’m just glad its finally one I’m interested in. I was sad when they didn’t bring back Follow the Liter and instead used the gnome thing.

Like Royal Fool said, there’s a ton of great free software. I don’t remember what format those in-game recordings come out as or if they’re a script.

Actually, that site is just for uploading stuff. I don’t see a reason to convert the demo files to video when they can be viewed in-game… just open the dev console and type “playdemo <filename>”.

You can convert a demo to a video with these commands:

Using AVI will bring up a dialog for choosing the codec, which may not show if you are running the engine in fullscreen mode!

Heh, I do the same thing sometimes, or I’ll mistake sounds behind me for sounds in front of me and stupidly look in the wrong direction while a charger clears 100 yards and hits me in the back.

It’s really the same skills as normal, except with the more accurate weapons (AK-47, M16, pistols) you want to strafe-shoot across the line of zombie heads coming at you.

Funny thing about boomer explosions is that they radiate outward in a circle, not a sphere, so a boomer exploding directly above you has a chance to not even cover you in bile. It’s the same reason people wonder why a boomer that has exploded above them just covered them in bile even though they weren’t close.

I nominate Jab to name most of the achievements, he’s pretty good at it.

I removed a bunch of achievements because they were… uhm… really broken. The ones that are left should be operating okay.

Also I quadrupled the friendly fire damage on the Grenade Launcher. HAVE FUN! :)

Thought up another one:

Firing Squad: Kill the witch without using fire or crowning and no one gets killed or incapped by the witch.

Great games tonight, realism really makes Dead center’s finale a challenge.

Witching Hour: Kill a Witch between Midnight and 3 AM (Don’t know how server-side stuff works. Maybe a daemon creates a temp file at 12 AM and deletes it at 3 AM. If file exist, and witch die, give achievement.)

Democrazy in Action: Be the voter that votes no when all 7 others vote yes.

Some more achievement ideas:

Reflux Shot: As a spitter inflict maximum spit damage to a survivor.

Group Hug: As a survivor get hit by any 3 of the following within 10 seconds of each other: boomed, jockey, smoked, charged, spit or pounced.
