Wise-NO.
My ears bleed from the racisim and profanity on XBL. And i’m talking playing uno and peggle.

Oh, god no. Not at all, man.
TF2 and L4D’s PC communities are probably among the friendliest out there in any competitive game. 360’s community is incredibly, painfully bad on the most casual of games. People scream and rant in a Carcassonne game.
Did they change the definition of diverge when I wasn’t paying attention? Unless there is more to that quote, it does not mean that we will get to play inter-platform games, it means they will start to do the matchmaking in different ways.
EDIT: No they did not change the definition, it means “To go or extend in different directions from a common point; branch out.”, I think some people mis-read it as “converge” and got a little excited.

I can’t imagine ever allowing PC and console players to play against each other. It just doesn’t make sense from many angles. They are different gaming experiences and the two won’t mix.
I’m glad you got back to L4D as well!
Too bad you didn’t get to stay on my team after the server crash. I had fun playing with you… but I probably had just as much fun swatting you off the roof of NM5 ;)
That’s not what I was excited about. I was excited that it’s going to be different from the console experience.
It wasn’t you, it was the people that posted after you. I wasn’t sure at first if you had misinterpreted it as well but from your subsequent post it was obvious you knew what it meant.

I’ll be up for another run at it late night tonight, has anyone tried Wise’s server recently to see if it is working again?
I like the melee changes so far, it makes melee a more important factor rather then just holding down the right mouse button.
We played on Wise’s lastnight, crashed on NM1 then ran NM2-NM5 all fine and dandy :)
I was there for that game, but then when I tried to play with Jab immediately afterward we couldn’t connect.
Played my first multiplayer game with frank austin and his friend. They just made fun of me the whole time and told me to stop healing Bill.
There is a late-late game soon, but the normal and late games today were pretty much just OO events that I got invited to through the magic of friends lists.
Late Late game was a great matchup, ended up being a few hundred points on the total NM score, I think.
How do these schedules work, is there usually an early game or two, a late one, and then a ‘late late’ (presumably with jab)? Alot of time i’m sitting around and I can’t see anything happening, but I’m sure games are going on…

The main reason why we’re on so late is because of my work schedule during the week. Our normal time is usually around 9:30-10 PM EST. Currently Wednesday and Saturdays I have off so I’m on for those games. Don’t be afraid to put up an event in the steam group. A lot of people don’t hang out in the chat room but will show up for events.
I unofficially designated the “regular” game as the 10 PM EST one, the “late” game is the one after it when some people leave and some people are just getting on, and the “late-late” game is whenever you come online.
Good to know, guys… I was afraid it was kind of rude to post an event if I only had myself and possibly only one other wanting to start a game, like it would set false expectations or something :)

I have been missing all my great pounces by inches for the past several days. Completely infuriating. Maybe Valve will decide to introduce a dotted-line guide to show hunter pounce trajectory…
More realistically, though, is it possible to use a server to practice solo? Or will I have to have one human on the opposing team in order for the server not to boot me?

Shame. I saw that game go on in entirety and couldn’t join. Then it started up again still full!

I have too. Sometimes ya have good days, sometimes bad, but there’s no need to make it easier! We just need to practice more :(
