LG getting out of the phone biz

Sony is probably the next one on the chopping block.

To be honest I don’t know why - quite literally, not being snarky - they don’t release a Sony Alpha Xperia APS-C sensor phone. Sony’s market is for cameras; nobody cares otherwise.

Man, pour one out for the LG VX-8300, best cell phone ever made.

If you want an APSC phone that can actually focus, the lens will need to be at least 20mm thick.

For that large a sensor you also need a considerable amount of space between the lens and the sensor. The thickness of the A6000 series body is indicative of what you need.
