I think the important part her is Regina is a highly misinformed and/or disingenuous individual who is a candidate. That’s the exact kind of person who should not be in charge of any office.

A few minutes of googling shows she’s a democratic primary candidate in a super solid red district and that the other candidate in the primary is the one actually endorsed by the Democratic Party of CA. So it’s highly unlikely she will ever see a general election much less hold any office.
