I feel like it has to be south of the large intestine to technically be butt stuff.

Yeah, I’m amazed by how everyone is expecting this carpetbagger to be treated in the same way as people who have spent 30 years in the party. I don’t understand Amercian politics.

lol k

It’s funny cause it’s true? I mean, the guy didn’t want to be part of the Democratic party, why should I trust him to lead the party when he is elected?

I dunno, I think if the party acclaims you as the nominee, that’s a pretty good indication that the party considers you to be on the inside.

Also, too: In the American system, Presidents don’t lead parties. They lead the executive branch of government. The US is not a strong party authority system, and the President isn’t like the party leader or Prime Minister in a parliamentary system.

No, they lead parties. They set platforms and make calls. Looks at good old Donald. He removed the whole Russia stuff from the platform when he became the nominee.

If you lose the race, no one cares, but by winning the presidency, you are the defacto head of the party.

And Bernie can’t lead ants to a picnic with a jar of honey, and won’t be good at leading the Democratic party

This sort of thing is pithy, but based on absolutely nothing.

Again, not a Bernie fan, but he’s more qualified for the job than e.g. Buttigieg or Bloomberg, and as qualified as Biden or Warren. I just don’t think he’s a very good candidate.

He has spent his whole career just rebelling against the main stream. He doesn’t seek compromise to get things done and I think that inability will lead to nothing being done.

This isn’t true. The President is widely, if not officially, considered to be the head of his political party. He can control the apparatus, it’s priorities, and its spending.

I dunno, I think it is obvious that McConnell leads the party.

Depends on if you mean voters who vote for the party (of which Trump is clearly the current leader) or the group of people who are actually involved in party apparatus (of which McConnell is clearly the current leader).

If Trump didn’t lead the party, all those senators wouldn’t be scared of him.

If they adjust the age to 15 and expand it to surrounding states then I think they might have some excellent legislation here.

I mean, it’s trolling around the disgusting anti-choice bill passed (and blocked by a judge who has some non-zero amount of cognitive activity) last year in AL.

Just get one of these installed in the old Vas.Def. It solves so many problems, and it makes a great nomenclature pun as well.

A more logically sound law, which would achieve the same trolling effect and rejection, would be to institute mandatory castration of all men convicted of sexual assault.

A bunch of lawmakers would likely protest that for personal reasons.

It would also steer a lot of ex-cons toward the Republican party.

In just world most of the current GOP will be ex-cons in a decade or two anyway. Well, the ones that didn’t die in prison.

Sadly, we do not live in that world.

David deserves to be here at this point.

Also apparently he was leading the charge of the “Pete’s Nigerian supporter is actually someone else” that turned out to be completely and utterly wrong, so he did the sensible thing and deleted all reference to it after apologizing.
