PA rural vote divid (by %) is better for Biden than Clinton. Not sure of other states, but since they bombarded the state, it would be hard to say that they had no effect. Maybe other things did have a greater impact, but it really took everything, together, to get here.

If something as little as this tweet turns them that fast they were never going to stay long.

Yesterday I read a number of (well-deserved) compliments for Nesrie for how she is unafraid to challenge, provoke, and maybe even piss off a bunch of us mostly older, white Qt3 gamers… why not also recognize that AOC’s ability to rattle and anger us is a potential wake up call for us to do more internal work, and a great political strength she possesses.

This election didn’t work out as well as we would have liked. I get the feeling there are a ton of people standing by ready to go to work. How best to go about that work? I think we would be wise to follow where Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Stacy Abrams are leading and not so much Rick Wilson and Steve Schmidt.

Better not to take this tweet so literally that we miss the forest for the trees.

Well enjoy your horrific losses in 2022 and every election beyond until we stop having them.

Trumpism isn’t dead.

So let’s imagine that’s true.

Let’s imagine they had a tiny impact… Instead of the amazing GOTV effort of Abrams, let’s imagine LP’s impact was simply turning off a few thousand Republicans and making then stay home.

At the end of the day, you would still have needed both to win Georgia

Respectfully, this sounds like a you thing.

Also more money was sent by Democrats to McGrath than the Lincoln Project raised.

How did that work out? Let’s see…

Oh she lost by 19.6%.

So… let’s bitch about less money that was from people that would never have given money to us.
Let’s shame people for doing the right thing.
This is the way forward.

If only we hadn’t called the Nazis Nazis, they wouldn’t have become Nazis. Not calling Lincoln Project Nazis, but this is the exact same line you’re following here.

I do, and she has made plenty of salient points that need stating in the past.

She’s usually pretty media savvy, but while I think there is a valid critique in her point, she said it in a poor manner.

Next.

I don’t think so dude. It is definitely a thing that happens with people who get caught up worshipping a personality.

The dear leader can never fail, they can only be failed. When you think that they may have done something wrong, it’s because you aren’t looking at it right… What they REALLY meant was something else, which was definitely much better and more amazing, because after all, they are the dear leader.

No you called the people who opposed the Nazis, Nazis.

“Do it for your country.”
does it
“Fuck you, you did nothing give us your money”

You don’t see the problem here?

This is the thing… Far left sites like Jacobin attack the Lincoln project, and are so insanely enraged by their success. Like, they are oozing jealousy is this ridiculously overt manner, that’s almost comical.

They can’t believe that the LP is getting so this money from people.

But most of that money… It ain’t coming from socialists, dudes.

She said it in a poor manner for us maybe. But here we are frantically posting, one after another, wrestling with her ideas and what she meant to say.

Everyone compliments the LP guys for punching hard, then when AOC does it, you cry foul.

I agree. I am sure they had an impact and I don’t want to discount that. I am likely arguing past people while agreeing on the end goal.

I guess I just see that Tweet as a minor splash amongst an ocean of noise on that platform.

I am sure AOC is dealing with a lot of emotions right now and perhaps surprised that the country didn’t repudiate Trump soundly. I guess I’m just giving her a pass at a time that I don’t think I would have been very disciplined in either. I understand other’s anger here though too…we all wanted to see stronger results.

But… She’s punching the guys who are on your side! For being on your side!

Except for the part where I literally didn’t.

“Oh no, the right edges of our coalition didn’t like what the left edges of our coalition said! Now they’re going to leave!”

Fuck that very much. We don’t have to agree on everything. Walking on eggshells and not saying things that are what got her elected in the first place because it might make some conservatives sad is dumb.

I think she’s mainly punching capitalism and secondly punching a lot of guys who know damn well they deserve the punches.

Maybe she attacking the darkness!

Maybe don’t punch your allies?

This shit isn’t remotely over. We may not see the end of this. There might not be a light at the end of this tunnel.

Those ads were not wrong. She is. I mean you can criticize someone you like without invalidating her entire world view and future and past points right… right?

I don’t care what she really meant. It makes no sense for her to go after them right now.
