You’ll be able to preach it proudly to the camp guards as they line you up at least.

I guess i just don’t get it…

I mean, “take the L” is something you say to someone who lost.

Did the Lincoln project lose somehow?

I think she’s saying that their brand of conservatism lost to insane Trumpism, so they should just become Liberals? It doesn’t make much sense.

For the sake of this election, they kind of did.

These guys have acknowledged their prominent role in creating the mess we’re living in. So I get what you mean by allies but it makes sense why not everyone would see them that way.

I just like that she pisses us off and gets us debating. There’s value in it.

I guess you’re mocking my “punching capitalism” phrase? What I meant was, this seems like a valid heads-up that our money could be flowing in more productive ways to achieve our goals. The senate run-off elections in GA seems like a great place to start.

Sorry dude, i didn’t mean it as some grave insult. It was just a joke. The idea of punching capitalism was funny.

But like, she’s saying they should commit, I guess? Put a ring on it?

Because they literally switched sides during the war.

I mean if you ask a group to join you and they do, and you punch them in the gut anyway… what the hell?

I edited out my first three words but too late!

This. All of this.

And the war ain’t remotely over.

The thing is, the far left had been attacking the Lincoln project during the whole election cycle, inexplicably. It demonstrates a kind of failure to grasp any kind of basic tactics… When going up against Trump, why would you attack another group that is also going up against Trump? Focus your fire, dude.

Now, (and i don’t think this applies to AOC) for some of these guys, i think it’s literal jealousy. They are angry that these conservatives are getting embraced by the moderate left, getting to go on TV shows with Joy Reid, getting folks donating tons of money to them.

And they are jealous that they aren’t getting those things. Not AOC, she’s got tons of fame and money at this point. But some of these no name dudes in the socialist movement are definitely in that camp.

…or just a disagreement in what the best tactics are?

No, attacking your allies is pretty much always going to be a bad strategy.

Have any of the Never-Trumpers ever attacked the left wing of the Democratic Party? Or was this just a Pearl Harbor that AOC decided to launch out of a clear blue sky?

If you think that what AOC is doing is unhelpful, then maybe just let it lie and don’t contribute to the dynamic.

Worth noting that members of the Lincoln Project worked hard to get Rudy Giuliani elected. This election they were fighting against their own spawn.

So the millions they raised in 2020 was directly working against the millions they raised for GOP candidates in the past. I’ll take it, and welcome them into the fold, but I can see why AOC is skeptical about funneling money through their organization, when Stacey Abrams’ efforts and funding the runoff races in Georgia seem like much stronger bets.

I’m referring to the distinction between LP ads and GOTV, grassroots action. I think you knew that. And I think she’s right.

No. No. No and No.

AOC is young, enthusiastic and has the potential to be a long-term good leader. You don’t get good leaders by surrounding her with a bunch of yes men. That’s how you get a Trump.

There is zero reason why she can’t grow into a remarkable and long-term influence for this country, but she has to be able to take her lumps.

I am not dazzled by AOC. I am not wholly trusting nor have I fully forgiven the Lincoln Project for their role nor do I believe there is anything but a bunch of spineless people who may, may have these conservative views but somehow just stepped back and let all the horrific people lead.

Here are the facts: The Lincoln Project played a role in the victory, and they didn’t have to. They don’t owe the Democratic party anything. They didn’t owe the Democratic party anything. Right now all we really owe them is a polite thank you, and that’s it. That’s something that might be hard to swallow for some, but there is is.

The future is simply that. It’s not today.

Sure, that’s totally cool. I just don’t get that attack on the LP guys, especially right now.

I still don’t understand the “take the L” comment either.

Holy shit, exactly this.
If you want AOC to be some great force in the future, you can’t just give her a pass all the time.

Both these things 150%

Dear god, you people have forced me to go to that hell-site, Twitter:
https://twitter.com/AOC

Check it out! If you read more than 140 characters by her, she’s pretty reasonable.
