While I have no doubt you can find example of some leftist in the US saying those things, that shit is mainstream on the right in the US.
The right is also home to the neo Nazis.
And don’t forget, how many more synagogues are attacked by far right people.
So, no. Claiming anti semitism is more common on the left than the right in the US is grade A bullshit.

Not saying it’s more common in one group or the other. In my experience, I’ve seen it grow more on the left. As for synagogues attacked, I have no idea who does it more, but if you know of any stats out there it would be great to see.
People on the right have a torchlight march, chanting ‘the Jews will not replace us’. They have their annual right-wing conference using a stage which has the same design as an infamous Nazi rune. They salute their candidate for office using actual Nazi salutes. They spend untold millions making and running ads that talk about the ‘George Soros / globalist’ funded conspiracy of the left.
Other people on QT3 say let’s talk about the left’s antisemitism problem.
I mean, fuck off with this shit.

Here, some data on terrorize in the US
Right wing terrorism absolutely dwarfs all others, and includes white supremacist attacks.
Also what @scottagibson said.

That’s a great report. Going through it, is there a synagogue or anti-Semitism specific section?
I’ll just reiterate I’m speaking purely to my personal experience seeing a growth of left/liberal anti-Semitism.

Are you sure you’re not conflating anti-Israel with anti-Jew? I’m Jewish and super liberal and live in the Bay Area, which is super duper liberal. I haven’t seen any indication of a growing anti-semitism around here, but I do see people who aren’t big fans of Israel’s stance wrt Palestinians, a group that I include myself in.

They can be hard to separate sometimes, but no I’m talking about fairly blatant and obvious anti-Semitism separate from any policy discussions.

From what I can tel the full data set from the FBI is not published, so I can’t specifically say how many attacks on synagogues, for example, there are.
However if you check the methodology it does discuss how things are categorized, and it does call out specifically attacks on synagogues perpetuated by white ethninationalists falling under right wing terrorism.

From my going through FBI stats, they typically don’t break down by intent of the perpetrator, but I could be mistaken it’s been about a year since I’ve had to do a deep dive.
I saw that part of the methodology, but it doesn’t seem to me that the study is set up as a comparison around anti-Semitisms in general, more terrorism, which is categorized differently (i.e. graffiti doesn’t rise to terrorism but could rise to anti-Semitism).

Yes, which post 2016 election there was a marked increase in graffiti specifically targeting Jewish people, and a number of incidents where synagogues* were defaced. Which, very obviously, was tied to Donald Trump and his supporters embracing their racism.
*among many other religious buildings such as black churches and Muslim temples.

It’s hard to have much more growth on the right at this point without setting up camps.
About half their codewords are just codewords for “Jews” at the end of the day.
And there are definitely groups on the Left that are problematic if not openly anti-Semitic. I could see growth from that since it’s a fairly small subsection overall.
It’s sort of the thing where if you go from 1 to 2, you doubled, but if you go from 100 to 110, well, that’s only a 10% increase.

Very well could be true. I remember being a dinner where the conservative host asked me what I thought about the “bankers up in New York”, this was about ten years ago. About five years ago I started hearing the similar coded language being used by my liberal colleague and friends.

From my personal experience that’s what I’ve seen. In terms of stats the latest I’ve seen has put the majority of the attacks are from the right, but a growing minority on the left.
Nesrie

Probably because the actual Nazis are there. I mean I can’t imagine how a rational person thinks that stupid kids whinning about Israel is some how equivalent to the Nazis that actually attack and kill people. Both sides!

No one is saying that the right doesn’t have a massive problem.
LockerK

The initial statement was literally “I’ve seen it more on the left than the right” which was walked back to “It’s growing more on the left” and then further walked back to “Stats say it happens more on the right but I’ve seen it more on the left”.
Nesrie

Yeah, he basically is. While actual Nazis march our streets, we have one guy here saying I don’t know guys, I think the left has a real problem against Jewish people. It’s THE real problem, I just know. Not using facts or anything. I just feel it in mee bones.
Really? Odd that they’re talking about the alleged problem on the left, isn’t it?
Let me try this. What if I take the trouble to say some X are intellectually inferior for whatever value of X you would like to imagine. Is there no implication in that statement for the group not-X?
Implicature is absolutely a thing.

Isn’t this the thread about how liberals also say and do stupid shit? ? Seems pretty appropriate for the thread.
Where did I say that? I’ve spoken about my personal experience and I said that anti-Semitic violence is more common on the right.
