I believe we have some sort of law or a few things actually in place where certain businesses have to take used oil, for example, from people changing it at home to make it as painless as possible for people to dispose of these items properly.
It does seem like a terrible idea to outlaw people working on their cars and yeah, sounds like something someone who grew up in a certain way wouldn’t think twice about passing.

I also grew up doing most of my car repair at home. Prior to becoming a firefighter my father had been a mechanic, so he had a garage full of tools. So I’ve done oil changes, water pumps, radiators, plugs, belts, solenoids, you name it. About the only thing I haven’t ventured to is electrical systems and engine block related items.
Translator stupidity continues. This time it hits closer to home:
This time the translator offers his opinion:
This is all really silly. Of course Obiols is perfectly right.

The Gov. Cuomo situation continues to escalate.
Now he is holding a press conference today…
Well that was one hell of a press conference. Denied any culpability or responsibility for the accusations, then went on to blame cancel culture for the calls for him to resign/be impeached. Yowzerz.

If someone commits genocide on you, apparently you can never commit genocide yourself.
That’s just math?

I think it’s in poor taste to go after the CCP with specifically Nazi comparisons. I don’t think retweeting that banner is worth remarking on though, and I do see the point that the Berlin olympics is generally seen to be something that should not have happened.
It’s a really weird criticism. The Nazis had pretty much nothing to do with the Rape of Nanjing. It’s true that the Germans and Japanese had signed the Anti-Comintern pact earlier in 1937, but that agreement was directed at the USSR, not China; and the Japanese invasion of China was entirely their own ambition and not part of any coordinated plan with Germany. The Axis alliance did not yet exist. And, as you note, so what? The Chinese having been victims of genocidal violence doesn’t preclude them from being the perpetrators of the same.
Wait, you are expecting actual knowledge of history from these idiots?

Oof, things are not getting better for Cuomo.

This is clearly a plant by the Cuomo team to distract from the sexual harassment allegations. I mean if they expand the investigation into instances of Cuomo being a bullying asshole the investigation will take decades to complete. Centuries perhaps. He’ll be long out of office by then.

My understanding is that their are three separate investigations going on instead of one big investigation.
Also a good reminder the the Cuomo dumpster fire is within the context of the larger NY state politics dumpster fire.

Some context, this isn’t something Pete came up with. He’s replying to a question that has been floating around about this.

Like it or not, as cars get better gas mileage and the switch to electric accelerates, we’re going to have to find a replacement for the gas tax.
It’s fair to include paying per mile in the discussion about that.

To be fair, Buttigieg reminds me a lot of Macron. It’s a big reason why I was so hostile towards him in 2020.
At least the lawmakers know this is an unpopular idea that’s not going anywhere.
Leftists call Buttigieg rat boy because they think he looks like a giant rat.
